Cowboy Bebop videogame

What do you all think would be a cool way for Cowboy bebop to be turned into a video game? What platform and what type of game.

 

It already has been turned into a video game.. not sure what style but i know they made one.. Or im 95% sure they did!

Well, it must not have been too good if I did not hear about it. And I'm asking what the ideal game would be. How would you like to see it done?

 

You're right,Kame,there was a Cowboy Bebop game.It was a shooting game.Not like hand to hand gun shooting(that would've been cool!),but you're Spike in the Swordfish II and you shoot other ships down.I haven't played it myself,but,whatever.

They should make a video game Devil May Cry style. Not giving Spike outrageous powers, but the same variety of gameplay. They could just have it be bounty hunting for most of the game with maybe a small conflict with Vicious as the final boss fight. That way it could fit into the storyline.

 

Cowboy Bebop Game...YES!!!

I love that show, but had no idea that there was a game. The only problem with making a game that I can see, would be the plot. Would the game be focused on the strory (ie: Julia and Viciuos) or would it be Spike going after a bunch of bounties? Either way I'd buy it, just because I'm a devoted fan of the show.
Have any input on the subject? I'd like to hear from you, I'm sorta alone here, being a newbie.:shy3:

ps2 or gc would most likely have it if one came out, i would like it to be a 3rd person action shooter, and maybe the player would switch between 3rd and 1st person view at any time, for aiming. just a thought...

 

Well, being a huge videogame player myself. I can only think of one way to portray a CB videogame.(Bear with me here) I think that a cool setup would be similar to Shenmue. A 3rd person perpective, with analog control. Combat could be similar to Shenmue in the press button or direction kind of way. I think this would be cool because it would give you a fighting game feel, but still keep cinematic type action. Now about the bounties. I think that you should be able to interact with NPCs frequently, who would be useful in giving you info. on the bounty heads. The more info. or proof you could find, the higher the bounty would become. So, you could go out and get a bounty right away, but you would not get as many woolong to upgrade your equipment, your stats, and the Swordfish II. I also think that you should have to use the Swordfish to fly to certain areas of the world to explore and chase bounties. So, it would be action oriented, but still give you an RPG type feel with the character upgrades and equipment upgrades. Oh yeah, Spike would be the main character, but you could visit your friends on the Bebop and get info. from Ed, Jet, or hire Faye to come with you. That's right, she won't come for free, but she'll help you a lot if you can hire her for awhile. The main villain would be Vicious of course, who would face you in a spectacular show down to conclude the game. I also think that it should be cel shaded, to keep the Anime look and make cut scenes real time for quick loading. Well, what do you all think of my idea??

 

if anyone has ever played Freelancer i would like it to be like that type of game but when you reach a planet it would turn to something like gta..if anyone understands me plz tell me

 

Yeah... from what I herd... the cowboy bebop game blew...
(compared to the series and what they thought the game was going to be like)

But other than that... I like fritos!!!

 

Well..i think the game would suck...only because the fun factor would be a great big task to create.

 

the game could of been cool if you could actually move the swordfish II but all in all it would have to be like GTA to be any good...

 

what you need is a company like rockstar games to create such a game.....i think they could do it.

 

DevilMayCry/Shenmue would be a good platform for the game and the story line could involve the seperate bounties and the Julia-Vicous theme ^_^ all this sounds good to me with long game play hours and the alternate sword fish raceing option it would be cool

 

That would seem cool but you have to see that if it was the same as the series then the game would be easy......id say that that should like add the missing gaps to the series to the game....

I reckon something like shenmue 1 or 2 with full access to vehicles, it could be based around the 26 sessions.

Just Imagine how cool it would be to play the chase scene from gateway shuffle or Wild Horses.

CB Game

The idea has always came to my mind that if they ever made a Cowboy Bebop video game, that i would buy it in a heart beat. I think they could make it into a really cool game. First i think it should be on Playstation 2, and i agree with some other people that it should be like Shenmue, and Devil Man Cry. You can see your whole body but you can change views if you wish. You can fight with your hands or with your gun. Oh course their should be levels were you need to fly your ship, and they can create really cool cinemas, maybe clips from the movie or series to make it cool. Like their making that new DBZ game look almost like the TV series graphics. Haha lets just hope they do somthing cool like that.
