Crazy Monkey Legend Info

    Well, the legened that was the pilot for the DB series is that there was a great warrior whos body was a part of monkey and a part of man. The legend also states that the creature could consentrate his ki to make a beam. The only thing is that there was not a thing about SSJ's or Nameks, unless you found something else.

    Shin-To is a religion that originates in Japan. There were two variants originally, Imperial Shintoism, and (God damn it [​IMG]! I can't remember the other type's name!). Anyway, both are based on the concept of spirit-worship, similar to several other "Eastern Religions". The Imperial version, I am told, viewed the Japanese emperor as some sort of deity, until the end of World War II, when the victorious U.S. military shut Imperial Shintoism down (land of the free my @$$ ...). The other version still exists in Japan today, but that's all I really know. Maybe more as my World Religion course kicks off this semester ...

    -For the original topic of this post - you're referring to the whole Chinese Son-Goku legend, correct? There's a whole smattering of stuff about that somewhere, but by just the name, you can tell DB's original roots come from it...Here's an interesting page with notes:

    Plus there's a fairly new RPG I saw for rent (PSX) the other day that's based on the original story...

    -For Shintoism, as far as I can tell it is spiritual worship of past heroes and relatives, and yes, the Shogun was regarded as a god (until the US military forced him to announce he was mortal - I don't hold that against them, though)...
