    The White Stripes

    Is anybody else here into The White Stripes? I've been listening to a lot of their stuff lately. I don't think that I've ever heard a band that sounds like them. It's nice to hear something different.

    Yep, I heard that they used to tell people that they were brother and sister. Then they made out at one of their shows just to freak people out. LOL

    friend of mine likes them...and we normally like alot of the same music...i guess i need more to my music than just drums and a guitar...or at least it to be artfully done lol tho, i will give them credit as they do seem to do pretty good for having just those 2 instruments and voices...

    Nope. Just an untrained drummer and a crap guitarist :p .

    Their new song is alright, but that Fell In Love With A Girl song is horrible. Sounds like someone torturing a lemur.

    Yeah, they're pretty bad(sorry stripes fans)
    First time I heard them was over the partition in the studio in college. I put on my earphones pronto.

    hehe i have to listen to that song everytime i work...it's on the current dvd...and we've been too lazy to put in some cds...

    None of their other songs sound like "Fell In Love with A Girl". Most of it is Blues Rock. If all you've heard of them is stuff off MTV then no wonder you hate them. MTV sucks majorly. My favorite songs by them get little to no radio play. Check out "Apple Blossum" or "St. James Infirmary Blues" before you hate on them.

    isnt fell in love with a girl video the one with the legos? i thought that vid was funnier than a monkey flinging poo from a popsickle stick (well maybe not that funny but eh...)

    yes, it's the lego vid...
    and i dont' watch mtv...i don't really watch tv, except for the satellie radio stations, and well..there's nothing to watch there lol

    i've heard another of their songs too...the other vid was on another one fo our instore dvd's...it's the ghostish one...done in red, white, black, and grey...

    I think that's the one for "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground". I don't watch MTV either but I think that I saw that one on there once.

    I like em. No overproduced crap there. It's nice to see a band able to make an album for under $10k.. so much for the insane marketing costs the RIAA keeps whining about heh.

    thsi has to be my fave band, secound is red hot chillie peppers, and these are just the kings of all the bands, dead leaves and the dirty ground, 7 nation army, jolene, etc, their just cool, who else likes the white stripes?
