Dancing? DANCING!?!?!?! I love dancing to the Safety Dance!, If there is a dj in the building I'll ask him to throw it in and I'll dance to it.
Since Lu-Lu checked out the General Store, she decides to talk to the guy in the uniform, there is some neat stuff in this General store, she can't keep her hands off of.
There are no dj's in the bar because it's more or less like the Cantina from Star Wars. There's a band playing, though, and they start to sing: Band: We can dance if we want to; we can leave your friends behind. 'Cause your friends don't dance, and if you don't dance then you're no friend of mine ... *** The man in the General Store turns out to be named General Store. He is a retired war veteran, and he runs the store himself. As Lu-Lu approaches, he looks at her, adjusts his hat and sunglasses and begins to speak with an odd accent that you can't quite place. GENERAL STORE: What can I get you, young lady?
Lu-Lu: 'Oh, hi there, well, I'd like to get this neat satin shawl and the ambrosia armband.. but most of all, I'd like to know more about this village you live in, and anything you know about Peach Mountain.' For some reason Lu-Lu thinks of her favourite movie, 'The Rock'..dunno why...
At the mention of the name "Peach Mountain", the General's face goes blank. GENERAL STORE: You're not with those LUNATICS, are you? You apologize for the inconvenience, as this is obviously a touchy subject for him. You then remember that there was a famous General Alex Store who lead a battle against the Peach Mountain Shoguns during their last appearance, and he suffered a humiliating defeat at their hands. I guess I'll head on over to the hotel, give some credits to the person at the desk, then ask for a room.
So you all get a good night's sleep and wake up ready for more adventuring. Mano collects you, and you head out. You're walking up the mountain path, and you see a big robot-looking thing flying in the distant sunrise. You dismiss it as a mirage and continue on. After walking for a few more hours, you reach the site of Dr. Beats' expedition. MANO: "Dr. Beats, here are the new recruits." Dr. Beats looks over the group [take a moment to introduce yourselves].
Hello, the name is Caracol. I was born and raised here on Namek. Oh yeah, by the way I picked this up on the way *pulls out the capsule*, do you know what it is for?
BEATS: [looks at Caracol oddly] Namek? [he glares at Mano] Mano, what is he babbling about? MANO: I don't know, Doctor. BEATS: As for your capsule ... [he opens it] these seem to be machine parts of some kind. [he closes it and returns it to you] I'm an archaeologist, not a mechanic. I'll show it to some of the Techies at the Lab after the expedition.
Lu-Lu walks up to Dr. Beats, introduces herself and says, 'I'm a real big fan of yours, if you need a helping hand with anything you are doing, I'm your gal!' She nudges Caracol and whispers..'Namek? don't think alcohol/dancing and nameks mix' she kids.
WHAT?!?! you mean to tell me we aren't an Namek anymore??!?!? where are we? KOPF? or Arth? I must have really banged up my head back there...
Lu-Lu ignores Caracol's silliness, she waits for a reply from Beats. At the same time she eyes Baracol who looks like he isn't paying attention. What's he thinking about, she wonders...
BEATS: At any rate, we should begin the expedition now. (He hands a torch to Baracol) Hold this, and we'll begin. My other associate, Jo-E, is already inside. (He ushers Baracol in first, then he and Mano follow)
As she enters the cave, Lu-Lu wonders what mysterious things they will come across in the semi-dark.. hope Baracol's torch doesn't go out... [This message has been edited by Seraphim (edited 07-10-2001).]
