I just saw over at shacknews that a new mod for Quake 3 has just been released, it's called Bid for Power.
Initially it was based on the DBZ anime, but due to copyright issues they had to remove all the references to DBZ :(

I havent downloaded it yet, but it sure looks interesting. So if you're into games, be sure to give it a try.

BTW, its a 98 MB download

Good stuff. I remember seeing this a long time ago. I didn't think it would ever finish, so I forgot about it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Of course, I'd have to get q3 to run it.. (too bad all the dbz mods for UT died)

Actually don't watch dbz, but a mod of it could be interesting :D

I dont really watch DBZ either, but this mod is actually pretty cool. There's this map of a city, and it's fun to flight around it, or to run really fast.
When you kill people you get points, and after a certain amount of points you power up to the next tier. Each time you powerup you get a new attack, and you move faster.

Anyway, it's alot of fun :)

Yes it's quite nice when you forget about stuff and then find it's already done. I almost did that with Bushido : saw it two years ago, thought it would never happen. Now, it is nearing release. Unfortunately only nearing, it isn't done yet so I get to wait on pins and needles for it. Wish I'd found out after release like with Bid for Power..

Anyway, Bushido looks awesome. Those levels are amazing.

And, just read this on the Ninja Half life page:
    -------------------
As of 12th July 2001 the Bushido Team and Kisai Software(makers of ninja half-life) joined forces in order to complete the Half-Life mod Bushido. The reasoning behind this merger is to release the best possible product to the public without causing unnecessary delay which often occurs in the production of modifications.
    -------------------
This is what I like to see. Mod teams joining forces, instead of announcing yet another, over ambitious project that will never progress beyond a pretty webpage.

Bushido, now there's an amazing looking mod for HL, I wonder if enough people still have HL around to give it a good player base.

Speaking of games... I'm wondering if anyone here has heard of the game company 'Sapphire' I was talking to someone, briefly, who works for them
