Neon Genesis Evangelion Death and Rebirth/The End of Evangelion [Spoilers]

For those of you that wonder, here's how the story for this goes.

The Anime finishes in Episode 26, where Shinji learns to love himself, yadda yadda happy ending, right? Wrong.

Apparently the director got a lot of DEATH THREADS/LETTERS, yes, Forum threads and actual death letter about the end of the series.

In the end, he ended up with an alternate ending to the Anime, where the excact oposite happens.

Shinji doesn't love himself, so he doesn't feel good, but everyone else feels good instead.

However, in the end, everyone dies, except Shinji, and what appears to be Asuka.

One of the things that I think some weren't aware of is that the Asuka in the end isn't really Asuka.

Taking a look closely, she has Misato's eyes, and the bandages similar to Rei's bandages in the beggining.

Also, what was it that Gendo Ikari said to Akagi Ritsuko before he killed her? Is there like a meaning to it? A clear one?

One of the conclusions that I've made from the whole Eva series, is that the director did a really bad job in the end, and that he should have merged the original ending with the movies.

That way Shinji would have helped Asuka, and it may have been different, a lot of things.
