Death Note Death Note Movie

From what I found out there will be 2 Death Note Live Action Movies. The first one will be released in June of 2006 and the second in October. I have an idea who may play in them but I will wait to post it.

It was announced in Weekly Shounen Jump issue 8.

My opinion is since there isn't any talks in the works about anime then this is the next best thing. I hope it is good. It should be the characters look good for the part but we shall have to see.

I personnally can't wait. Being that it is a movie it shouldn't go all Sailormoonish. There is only one thing I think they mess up with. I have seen Initial D Live Action Movie which isn't bad.

This will be one full movie done into two parts.

I don't think I made that clear yet. I think there is a death box going on sale in march.

 

I've read the manga and it's pretty interesting, it could make a good movie. If it makes it as a Live Action Movie, we'll have to wait and see.

 

From what I have gather it is a limited edition box set. It contains illustrations and etc. It's round 165 bucks in american.

 

Glad to see other fellow Death Note fans here. (I haven't been to these forums in a while.)

From what I heard, the Death Box contains various lil toys (pendant, etc.) sorta related to Death Note.

As for the movie, here's the first ad I've come across. Most likely it'll be directed by Shusuke Kaneko, although his website doesn't mention Death Note; Light will most likely be played by actor Fujiwara Tatsuya, as described in this Japanese article.

No matter if the movies come out good or not, I just GOTTA see em for myself. I'd prefer a live action TV series, that way there would be more time for a longer plot, and better character development (which some people really care about). Mainly, I want to see how creatively the production crew can portray Death Note, since a lot of the story involves inner thinking in each character's mind. One of my favorite parts of the plot was within the chapters where L and Raito met in person and started suspecting each other of being the enemy. I'm hoping that the movie/s would capture that kind of intense suspense.

Oh wow, this looks so...cool. There's so many scenes i'm seeing that are from the manga...and omg, L is so hot. O_O Light's not so much, but omg L! =O FR is impressed.
