I loved the first Devil May Cry... truly, a superb game to debut on PS2. Then, DMC 2 came out... just as stylishly cool as the first one, if not more. The game was great fun, and the option of two characters made things a bit more diverse. However, on the downside, the game was horrifically short, and even more horrifically easy, and it just didn't really tie into anything at all.

However, by the looks of things, it appears as if Capcom has cleaned some of these things up for DMC3, which is actually a prequel, to show the downfall of Virgil and rise of Dante as a Demon Hunter. As much as I love trailers for things, I rarely rely so heavily upon them to determine the fun-factor and greatness of the game... but I was simply just so blown away by the awesome trailer of DMC3 that I don't even care anymore.

Although it's a huge file, check out the trailer, it's surely worth it. Trust me on this.

I admit that when you showed me this, I was a bit sceptical, considering the second game...But wow.

Guess what I'm buying?


Dante looks so awesome, the gameplay looks exciting (from what I can see) and god knows I loved the first game.

Prequel...whodathunkit?

Who am I kidding? I might just buy just because Dante looks so awesome and I wanna see what happens!

 

The first game was pretty awesome, but the second was....ehem.

But the third one does look pretty good, and hopefully Capcom learned from their mistakes.

DMC1 Ruled. I loved that game. It was cool. And I mean COOL!

DMC2... was a disappointment. To say it straight, it was NOT good.

DMC3... from what I just saw on that website... I know only one word for it: COOL! and to quote Meaikoh:

Like eveyone else in this thread so far. I loved the first one. I thought that the graphics and the new evasion moves were a really nice touch in the second game, but overall it wasn't as good as the first, probably because there was no claustrophobia feeling that you got in the first game.
This one looks like it has all the best things from the last 2 games and more. I can't wait to this game.

 

I loved the first Devil May Cry. I didn't played the whole game but, I can't wait for the third.

 

Wow. If the gameplay lives up to that trailer, then...wow. Definately getting it. I love the first game to pieces, but was turned off by the second one's gameplay. Hopefully, this one will live up to everyone's expectations.

This is off topic, but has anyone else noticed that Dante seems to be wearing less clothing in each sequel? Not that I'm complaining, just making an observation...

 

devil may cry

the first was a great game. the sewcond was a dissapointment but it had great new features, such as run up walls, that thing were he jumped in the air and shot down at his enimies right below him, and there was another character even though i think theres no reason to put someone else in the game. devil may cry 3 is gonna be great because its a prequel. i always wonder about his early years. also wonder what his last name is. i wonder if u can play as dantes bro in this one. also i was wonder who the new chick is. i havent seen any screnes for her. is she like dante with super powers?

 

styles

i just remember reading in psm that u can have diff styles such as gun slinger, swordmaster, trickster, royal gaurd. im gunna like doing sword master. i always used the sworsd the most in devil may cry 1 and 2. but gunslinger sounds cool. its suposed to give u more gun tricks and hoefully more guns. trickster is suposed to let u evade atacks and do flip tricks and other things like that. royal gaurdwill be more into the hand to hand combat.

 

Now, here's a game that looks promising. Hopefully, It'll be as good as the first two. Anybody read any news on this upcomer!? I've seen like 3 magazine posters, and oooh boy, it looks good!
