I am a huge DMC fan, but i wouldn't call it the god of games, it does get to repetetive. A game that IS good though is the Time Splitters Series.:D

For a game that makes you kill Demons and you playing as a son of a great demon knight..it doesn't get much better then Devil May Cry. With fantastic cutscenes and story that is kick a$$ all the way is amazing. No matter how you can say it gets repetitve if you need to releave anger then DMC is beyond a doubt one of the best games to play. The Sound of a thrashing guitars whyile you cut through your enemies in a bloody path of enjoyment is far more better then running around with your panies in the crack of ya butt yelling at people.:p

DMC is a great series though I could think of so many others that are better (Prince of Persia, Onimusha, Resident Evil, Silent Hill...)

That's not to say it's BAD; as I just said, I think it's great, and I truly hope we get to see a few more trailers or screenshots of Devil May Cry 4 sometime soon.

Own all of those three series. The game is indeed impressive, but I am really REALLY annoyed over the Camera problem. I thought CapCom were smart enough to change it to the third game...but meh.

Overall, good series. Looks good next to my PS2 collection of games ;)

I like all of these games, kinda long too. Can't wait next year until the PS3's finally lowered priced and unflawed so I can get Devil May Cry 4!:p

    My opinion on all three?

    Devil May Cry: Total ownage.
Devil May Cry 2: Total letdown.
Devil May Cry 3: Total ownage
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition: Even more ownage

Yeah, I like the series. :)

Edit: ML those fanarts are awesome. ;)

How was the second a 'total' letdown. I mean, it kinda was bad, but not a total dissapointment.

As for the 'special edition' of the third one (which I call 'let's buy it again for a few newer levels' edition) is all the same. Not much of ownage since you're wasting over 20 bucks, and the camera still sucks.

DMC2 was total bollux. it really was a letdown and i agree with him, it was repetetive, and in general ... boring. DMC1 was good, and DMC3 had the best features of the 2 of em plus its own.

I thought DMC2 was pretty nifty. I thought DMC1 was a bit more repetitive (being as you were in the same little enclosed area the entire game). And I liked the few mythological references in DMC2 (that I'm sure few people actually picked up :()

    Thanks for the posts guys.
I love all three games, and yes DMC2 too, I don't see why people didn't like that.

DMC4 looks very nice, can't wail for it.

I thought that DMC2 was actually quite playable, i often find myself returning to that game to replay some of my favorite levels. I was actually happy that they managed to fix the difficulty problem that was in the first one. In DMC1 if it was set on easy the game was far to easy, while if it was set on Normal it was like another 10 steps up the difficulty ladder. I remember it taking me a far bit of time to defeat the Phantom the first time.
DMC2 was cool, even if there was a bit to much space compared to the last one. The constant feeling of clostraphobia was always something that you had to be aware of. In DMC2 there was probably a bit to much.
DMC3 i think was able to combine the other 2 games to give you a good feeling of enclosed space in most parts of the game but not giving you to many massive open spaces.
