Video Games Diablo II: Lord of Destruction

I play D2! I actually never bothered to buy classic for myself, but I got the expansio set so that I could play with my best friend. My character is 'MTs_Bloodletter', an assassin. I'm getting stronger! I've already played through the original Playstation game and I'd beaten Diablo Classic (I owned it at one time...)

I'm really rusty now though, but I've got God on my side!

well my d2 chars are sweet but i hate d2 online for its new 1.10 patch. made the game gay as all get out. i still have my 82 scorc on useast.

 

LoD? I love it! I love the choice of characters, and I love all the items and their abilities! Its a fantastic game to play on a rainy day. Its got a lovely plot to it, and you can interact with people from all around the country. I have found many good friends on Battle.net (the online version).
I may not be very good, but its fun none the less.

 

Ahh, LoD. T'was a fun game - when I caught the first of the people playing Ladder when 1.10 was officially released. That was a fun time - compared to the pre-1.09 D2, which was filled with 'I TRADE U WF 4 40 SoJ ^^', it was a refreshing thing - no convoluted economies or anything - everyone started fresh. T'was a good time, and I even managed to catch Super Diablo with my Level 90 Paladin.

Of course, then I lost interest in MP - because like all times, Ladder eventually gets flooded with high-level rushers as well, and even though seasons reset, people find faster and faster ways to level, and it becomes less fun.

So anyway, Arcueid over there starts a D2 crusade some time or another, and I tag along. Pretty soon I realize that the world's become 'if you don't play a sorc, you don't have an easy time'. Refusing to submit to that, I continue to play every class - but the sorc, but to no avail. Later on, my computer gets the crap beaten out of it and it's game over for me, for now.

Anyhoo, if I play D2 these days, it's for the total conversions, which are simply wonderful in my opinion - some of them even have private servers if you so wish to play MP. Many talented modders have made D2 a funner game, gave it variance when a player can find no more in the original. Always fun to play a good mod, exploring the new things.
