Hi,
I don't know to many people who are into anime or rather absolutely no people who are into anime so I have no means of selling on my collection. I haven't had much success in the buyandsell so I guess there aren't to many otakus in Ireland.

Anyway I am revamping my anime collection so if anyone is interested I am selling on a portion of my stash. I suppose it would be easier if you lived in Dublin but I could probably post to the rest of Ireland if you wanted anything I have.

Most of it is either VHS or VCD and all of them are official releases except for Irresponsible Captain Tylor TV which is a fansub.

DVD All region: I'm not sure about these but they are all perfect in every respect.

Love Hina TV and specials English Sub 5 DVDs around 45euro(It's a great show but I it's getting to the point where I can't stand this kind of show, although Maison Ikkoku has somewhat restored my faith)
Gundam Wing Chars Counter Attack Eng Sub 1 DVD

I also have the complete Rurouni Kenshin TV series on VCD(around 30 VCDs) with English Subtitles but some of the disk have problems freezing but it is minor and I was able to watch the whole thing. This I will sell for 35 Euro.

All series are complete and in perfect condition.

As for price any series or movie that is just 1 Tape or VCD/DVD I will sell for between 5-10 euro.
2 Tapes/VCDs 15 euro (Princess Mononoke 5 euro)
3+ tapes,VCDS will go for between 20-30 euro but generally 20-25.

That's some pretty cool stuff you have there

I'm not sure about what I can afford, but I'm interested in the following series:
Escaflowne, Eva, Kenshin and maybe Love Hina
Anyway, I'll think about it tomorrow

 

Yeah before I bought most of my stuff I did a little research beforehand to make sure I wasn't getting anything really crap so there is as you say some cool stuff there.

And tell your friends ya hear!

Also just to note El Hazard is not the Magnificent World but the Wanderers TV.


I forgot to mention one more series I was going to put up for sale and that is the Macross Plus OVA on 4 VCDs jap with english subtitles and it'll go for 15 euro.


If anyone doesn't know much about VCDs which as like as not you won't, VCDs generally are on par with VHS in terms of picure and audio(it can have multiple audio tracks, Princess Mononoke has both a japanese and Cantonese language track) though depend on how well a company encodes it and the source used it can look much better than VHS dare I say it even DVD quality but that is very rare. The Vision of Escaflowne and Macross Plus probably being the 2 best examples I have of VCD but they're all generally good.
They can be played on a PC, which if your reading this you almost definately have, or on most DVDs players.

 

I was wondering... Are any of those SVCDs or are they all VCDs?
BTW, I live in Dublin too

 

One more thing. We anime fans being by and by being a poor bunch if you did want all of those I suppose it would be quite expensive to buy them all, about 130 euro but if you did I could knock of 5 euro per item which would bring the total to 110 euro.
But even if it's just say 2 series you want I could still reduce the overall by 10 euro.

They would all be VCD. I'm not sure you can play SVCDs on PCs so for some people maybe its a good thing they're not. SVCDs are rare in fact I have only ever once seen them for sale.

 

I'd be interested in the Eva and Escaflowne also. Hope Lot hasn't bought them already.

i've been looking for the second half of that show for half a year now..i n33d it.


eva would be nice, but I have it in .rm anyway, and I plan to buy the dvds over the summer.

Well Escaflowne seems to be popular but unfortunately The Lord of Terror called it first. You really would have had to be up very early in the morning to have beat him to it. 4:30 am or something like that it was.
I think it was Kenshin and Escaflowne he reserved for sure so they're gone. I'm not sure if he said Love Hina as well but I think it's still available. Correct me if I'm wrong?

I was going to keep it for myself but if anyone who is interested in Love Hina and is a bit of a completist I have an additional 2 DVD set of Love Hina. The first disk is just some character info and the second oddly enough is a live Love Hina concert in Japan. If you want it as well it would cost 10 euro.


Finally I wasn't going to sell these because I didn't think anyone would want them but I have Cowboy Bebop and Giant Robo on DVD. I mistakenly bought these a good while back and have since got myself proper releases of them. The problem with them is that they have as good as no English subtitles. If anyone wanted them for whatever reason I'll sell them for 10 euro.

Oh and the Love Hina DVDs are in excellent condition.
