Actually, the Atkins diet it very bad for you. It's your choice whether you want to do it or not, but not having carbs (and only a very miniscule intake of it, once you get past two weeks of no carbs at all) will wreak havoc on your internal systems.

Instead of quitting those empty carbs cold turkey, fill up more on the flavor than rice/beans. Put more tomato in salads, use darker greens, etc. Slowly erode the rice away to nothing.

Even if you're not a big veggie freak (and I'm not) eat some supplemental vitamins and get some excersize.

The Atkins will hurt you, more than help you, in the long run.

liver? cut your bread slices thinner. lol. eat less bread? but seriously get very busy and walk places if one isn't really into biking or running on a treadmill or outside. Walking at least 30 minutes everyday can help you lose wait at a healthy rate.

    hmmm. dunno what else.

You can loose alot of weight by drinking tons of water.
I use a nalgene bottle and fill it 3 times a day and drink all of it.
also eat lots of veggies, specially lots of romaine lettuce since it has like 20 calories for alot.
I lost 15 lbs this way in a month.
You can also try 8 min. in the morning, it promises to loose 10 pounds in a month and thats how my sis looses weight

Like I said, you don't have to STOP eating the carbs, you just gotta eat less of them.

The nice thing about white rice is that you can burn it easily, but, if you don't burn it off somehow, it goes straight into places you don't want. *looks at his stomach for proof*

In any case, you can make fried rice, just by mixing it with something else. Use natural oil (or even just put some garlic in there) and throw in some meat and some healthy greens (peas, carrots, etc).

It may be fried, but it's got vegetable intake.

Or, seriously, drink a smoothie. A milk or yogurt smoothie. Load it full of fruits (2x bananas go great with almost anything) and only a 1/4 cup of milk, and that could get you full for a good while.
