    Here's a little something a friend of mine showed me and I'm sure, as the article is over a year old, at least one or two of you saw it as well (I probably even showed you people).

    Now, for the million dollar question...

    What's your input?

    Meat! We need meat. . . .for the protein! . . . . .and its really yummy:p Veggies are okay too but i like meat better.

    That is a very good question. People lay mouse traps and then, go to a protest rally, "Free the Cows" :rolleyes: (as an example:p) Those damn Hipacrits. Animals are all animals. If a mouse is somthing that is ok to kill then so is a cow. I dont think we should wipe out the whole population of edible animals tho. People can be pigs sumtimes so we should be careful with how much we eat of those animals. Cuz if we dont. . . .no more meat.

    Well, you see, that's where cannibalism kicks in. :p Go Hannibal Lector! Anywaaaays. Doubt it'll be happening any time soon that we'll have to worry about, though even if it does might just mean that it's our time to go, y'know?

    Don't some Veggies still eat Fish?

    Some even still eat eggs.

    I don't understand they're logic. It's ok to eat Fish....but not Chicken? Whatever.

    And Plants are living thing too. So in esscense they still are killing something.

    Veggitarians THINK they're saving the environment, when infact they are killing it just as much as we are.

    actually a lot of vegetarians don't eat meat because of a concern for their own health, not to save the planet.

    the type of vegetarian who doesn't eat meat to save the planet is usually about 13-14 years old, with no understanding of the world beyond their school yard and is almost invariably female.

    There are different kinds of vegetarians, such as vegans (who only eat veggies) and fruititarians (who only eat fruits).

    As for people who think killing animals for food is wrong, well, what about all the other creatures in food chains? We can't stop them from eating smaller animals, besides, it's natural.

    I agree. The natural way of life is eat or be eaten. Humans are naturally hunter gatherers. I do however believe that maybe we should limit how many we kill and never take more than we need. however some places are just totally EVIL. Like those plases were they make veal or those pig raising companies you see on Babe. Those animals can't even see the light of day. As for the people that say Free the cows. The cows have learned to live in farms. If we let them go into the wild most wouldn't live that long and don't know anything but the electric fence protected feilds they live in. Letting them go, that would be inhumane.

    Eating meat is natural; we have eaten it since the beginning of time. If you are christian, the bible says that God gave us these animals to eat. If everyone in the world was a vegetarian, the animal population would soar causing problems. I would say it is better to eat an animal rather than gas it to control its population. Its just part of the food chain. Thats why we hunt too :D

    Some people don't eat meat because of the obvious religious reasons... Saying that meat is killing something that is alive with emotions and feelings. Plants, though are alive are scienfically proven that they have no emotions or feelings and therefore fine to eat.

    Anyway meat is good... it's where most of the good food comes from. But eating too much meat is much worser than eating lots of vegetables. Too much meat means fat building up in the bloodstream causing strokes and maybe death.

    yeah i think the most common religion that does that is Hindu. Or some other type of Arab culture. If you ask them the reason they give you a very intresting reasponse.

    a person that used to go to my school said that they do it becuase any living creature has the right to live. So they belive that it is murderer if you kill any other living creature other than plants. This is also becuase they belive in reincarnation. So they could be killing a beloved ansestor, etc. It is quit a unique religion.

    I would first like to say that it wouldn't be " 'shorting there' life" because shorting is not what you mean and there is NOT the same thing as their. You meant to say "shortening their lives" because you referred to "people", which is plural. ^_^;

    There's my deed for grammar for the day. ^_^;;

    Right. Well. I have to say that isn't necessarily true. I know vegetarians who live longer, healthier lives than people who eat meat, but I also know of vegan-eaters who die of cancer like anyone else would. I would say it's more in your genetics and your personal needs than in what you think is true. Saying that someone who doesn't eat meat is shortening his or her life is like saying that if you don't eat chocolate you won't get headaches -- it's just not a proven fact.

    It is true, however, that for people with certain illnesses, abstaining from eating red meat (or meat in general, though red meat is the primary concern) is the best thing they can do. Most arthritis patients who do not eat red meat feel better once their bodies have adjusted, which is about two or three days for most people. That's not to say they'll feel better forever or be magically healed -- it's just an example.

    I, for one, think it's healthy to be vegetarian because you honestly don't know if what you're buying at a fast food establishment is really beef or just chopped up cardboard mixed with cow blood -- which, said a source who worked at a meat packing place for a fast food establishment which will remain nameless, DOES happen. It's really all a matter of choice. You have to live by faith in everything, and it doesn't HAVE to be religious faith. ^_~

    Besides. I can tell you from experience that not eating meat will have you losing fat like crazy! ^_^ (Three months fully vegan and I was bony -- and you should know I was skinny to begin with!)

    I would also have to point out that it IS possible to live without eating meat -- you can get all the nutrients in meat from vegetables, fruits, and nuts. (Peanuts, for example, are rich in protein, as is tofu. Also, sesame seeds are a good source of calcium.)

    All in all, it's what you want it to be. I don't eat red meat anymore, but that's because of my own reasons. I was perfectly healthy when I ate it, and I'm still perfectly healthy without it.

    why do people like picking on her lol. anyway
    i have now gotten logical reasons for Vegans/Veggies if there are people who only eat fruit and don't eat the veggies. why don't they eat veggies?:dizzy2:

    I heard that veggies lower their life expectancy because it is said that veggies dont provide as much energy as meat. So basically you have to eat pounds of veggies just to equal a plate of meat. So all you could say is what the hell are they thinking.
