    Just saw this last week, and despite my original hmmm this might be bad thoughts i actually liked it and found it funny, not as funny as tenchi but still funny. Wha are your thoughts on it.....

    Tank Police was funny... but some parts were kinda vile...like those landmine's that blew up and were giant wangs. (LOL!!!!!!!!!!!)

    I don't know though...since right after Tank Police I watched City Hunter on the same tape I borrowed from BakaMattSu. City Hunter was freakin' HILLARIOUS!!!!!


    Sorry, if these topics kind of clash....but I've watched Matt's tape so much that they seemed to correlate for some reason. [​IMG]

    A good OVA, worth the watch. Animation's just not anything big...a little low actually...but the storyline makes up for it.

    Only got to see Parts 1-4 tho'...wahh!

    I also saw the new dominion tank police which has better animation and was also good..


    p.s MAcross plus does that come after macross 2?? cause i saw macross 2 last night and the animation in plus was much much much better

    with the exception of some *what I now know to be* Macross a LONG time ago , Dominion Tank Police was prolly my first taste of Anime , It took me a few minutes to actually figure out it was Comedic , after some serious thinking about How the Govt. just let Leona&Co. Destroy the Road infastructure of the city [​IMG] , Still Id love to get it in , Is there an OVA set ? or was it possibly edited into a Feature?

    Has anyone seen the Tank Police DVD? It is worth getting? Are there any extras worth the $39.99 price tag?

    Phat, what does loke mean? Also, what about female characters in ANIME? Also, did you reference that question to me, or the other posters? Very confusing.

    1.) I like this anime because it not only is funny in subplot, but also good in its main story.

    2.) That's the truth. I do not find Leona attractive, not even a little cute. Now Anapuna and Unipuma(?) might have some possibilites, but they're still not what make s the anime enjoyable...

    3.) Exodus666, take a chill pill man! "loke" was just a typo of "like", since the thread is about Tank Police it's probably what Phat's refrencing, and, finally most posts are in reference to everyone, unless a name is put in front. Please don't be quick to point out other's mistakes like they're intentional...

    BTW, I have never watched Tank Police. I heard it was a good Anime to buy, so I have no idea about the reference to female characters. Hence my query on it. Mmmmmk?

    Actually, two of the female characters are these twin cat girls who are criminals...I think the question came because they were former strippers...and they have a strip scene in the first ACT...

    BakaMattSu, hoping he isn't giving too much information...

    first i heard of it....No nudity two characters were skimpy clothes thats all, Its funny and has a good story and setting. I just enjoy watching it tha alls

    The "naughtiness" is kinda controlled...There is some nudity (though undetailed style...i.e. no nipples), and some realy bad jokes based on sexual themes....but it's not as bad as most of the stuff out there (a scene or two in Ninja Scroll...)

    BakaMattSu, naughty 25 hours, 8 days a week...

    This anime Is Realy funny.. Forgot all about it till i was looking through the old old post down at the bottom of the barrell... So i think i must go find some tank police to watch!

    Ah, another nostalgic trip to the sci-fi channel's Saturday Anime! I liked what I saw, though I don't remember much of Dominion Tank Police, other than Leona in her bunny outfit crying over Bonaparte and cops throwing knives at a criminal spinning around on a wheel. Oh yeah, and those two cat-girl twins.

    Well Dominion Tank Police was a short anime and also made in 1989 I believe... so forgetting it isn't a big deal. The scenes you mentioned was in the first dominion tank police. There's also 'New dominion tank police' which isn't new at all. It was made a few yaers later and only contained 6 23 minute episodes.

    But it was still good none the less.
