Anime Downloading Fansubs *a pain?*

The problem with downloading full length episodes are that they consume a lot of time, especially when you have a 56K modem @_@... Any one has the same problem??

btw, did any American anime publishing companies purchace the copy rights for the anime "To heart" and "Digi Charat" ?

I've heard stories of people who downloaded movies off of programs like Kazaa and Morpheus at 9 K/sec with 56 k... This is probly because you download the file from more than 1 person.

But If you're dl ing fansubs from sites check out Download Accelerator Plus, it'll boost the speed a bit.

(tries to stay away from the fact that he downloaded at 111 k/sec with DAP once with DSL )

 

For 56k users it's cheaper to just go to one of the fansub distro. sites that does vcd's.
What you get is many hours of dloads on a cd for less than the cost of the time connected online.

 

care to reccomend a few of those distro sites?

They should be re-opening soon.

 

u.u I have the same problem...Downloading off sites save time, and donwloading a half of the episode, and then the next half saves more time, but its hard to find those. I have WinMX and I have downloaded episodes off of it, but I have to leave them on over night to download. ._. Unfortuantly, most of the time the person will cancel it...::uses Morpheus and WinMX::

 

Personally I use IRC more than anything, people are, for the most part, generous, and downloads are resumable. Naturally, eDonkey2000 is good for that too, and it has multiple recieves available.

yeah, i found a whole load of dragonball eps on IRC, but the only shell I have with dcc ports opened has a 100 meg quota, so can't download much
