Man, I just re-watched this movie on TV, and re-realized how much I love it. For those who don't know it(came out 1964, I believe), this is a black(as in dark) comedy about nuclear war. As....awkward of a subject as this is, this has gotta be my favorite movie of all time. So...anyone else out their enjoy Peter Sellars' and George C. Scotts collective acting genious?

    "Mine fueher, I can walk!"

^fueher probably spelled incorrectly. So much for me knowing how to spell Nazi and german words.

EDIT: Strangely enough, this is my six hundred and sixty sixth post. Teh number of the beast! *goes all Iron Maiden*

I love Peter Sellers, but I haven't seen this movie. I love the title, though. Maybe I'll rent it over the summer.

I love that movie so much. Did you rewatch it on AMC? Just wondering 'cause they were showing it this week. It's a great movie, one of my favorites since I was about ten. George C. Scott kills me every time. "I can guarantee only ten to twenty million dead, tops!" Gah, I probably just butchered that line. I was so glad I was able to watch it again. It had been such a long time since I had seen. Strangely, this was the first time I noticed that James Earl Jones was in the movie. Shows you how observent I am. :sweat2:

As a matter of fact, that is where I re-saw it. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see the second showing on Sunday, I was out eating. I need to see if they have it on DVD yet.

But I think my favorite part of the movie was when Dr. Strangelove's hand attacked him, and how he called the president "furher" at least once.(still unsure of spelling).

Heheheh, another rare title you brought up, Dr. Nick. Yeah, I saw this movie when my friends and I used to have F.U. Fests (F---ed Up Fests), when we watch a screwed up movie. This was probably our third title, and yeah, it was really interesting. Then, I ended up watching it in Art History class this semester!

Dr. Strangelove's hand is pretty nuts! And yes, it's already out on DVD... that's how I saw it both times. My friends and I watched the extra features which had a behind-the-scenes look at the movie. Interestingly, when they made the movie, the set designers weren't allowed to study the interior of a real bomber, so they made up all of the cockpit instruments. (When the movie came out, government officials were shocked at how accurate the set designers were anyway!)

Hahaha, and the ending is probably the most unforgettable black-and-white movie scene in the world! :D
