Art drawing...a girl with a hat, hanging on

Been a while since I posted a pic (in a new thread rather than a game thread or whatever). This one was drawn on paper, which is getting a lil less common for me since I do nearly half of my drawings on the computer now. The scan for this was junk, so I had to enhance it up a lot, losing a lot of subtle shading/lines along the way. (The light stuff in the background were all random... I didn't plan out how the ship would look like.)

She's not a pirate so she only wears a paper hat and normal clothes. I guess she's just a wannabe who likes to fool around on the ship. I'm gonna CG color it when I feel like it. Any suggestions for color choices?

Yeah, I agree with Poom-Poom, really awesome pic. It looks like it needs some sort of story after it. Great work.

I think that girl looks sooo cute.

I'm still trying to get my drawings to work but with not much success. I'm still a long way off from drawing at this level.

But thats a really good pic. Uh... would you mind if i tryed downloading it and using it as my wallpaper cause i've just fallen in love with this pic. :shy:

 

Is she hanging from a cannon or something ? She looks pissed off, like someone left her hanging there For colours, i'd make her a yellow raincoat and brown eyes. Hair could be brown too.

That's my opinion. I'll be waiting for it to be done

Tetsuo, you guessed right. It's a cannon, and she's a lil upset. Maybe the captain thought it was cute to hang her up there. (It's only like 5 feet up from the deck!)

she looks bored out of her mind, and annoyed, like how i felt as a kid when my parents dragged me out shopping with them. it's got heaps of life and attitude.
i wasn't going to suggest colour, but i think a brownish tint to the whole colour scheme would look

 

Please don't colour her rain coat yellow. Cause it's just to pradictable for one of those coats to be yellow. Make it something different.

Oh and thanks for letting me download it, if it's one thing i've learned in college this tear it's always get the author's/artist's permission first otherwise *traces vertial line across the neck :sweat2: *. Thanks again buddy. :anime:
