Oh yeah, El Hazard's great. I'm even told that the bit that I've seen (which was simply phenomenal) is actually the worst bit!
Let me just say this ...

    FUJISAWA MONSTER KICK!!!

Finally, I have managed to track down some El Hazard on VHS. However, I wasn't able to secure El Hazard: The Alternative World's first few episodes, so rather than jump into the middle of a series, I bought episodes 3-6 of El Hazard: The Wanderers instead. It's a pretty cool series. The tape only cost me seven dollars too.

I saw only two El-Hazard episodes, but they were freakin' good. :p

It's like Tenchi in more than one way. Both series have some magic (in Tenchi, Ryoko can make lightsabers using her hands and in El-Hazard there's the priestesess who can control elements), good art, action, and some occasional fanservice. [<- Not that it's a bad thing. ^_^;;]

    In short, El-Hazard r0x0rs.

Actually, El Hazard was directed by the maker of the Tenchi series.
