I had some heart palpitations the first time iI watched it but I'm less sure with subsequent viewings. It will be great to stitch the two trilogies together, but I have little faith left in Lucas' storytelling craft. Oh yay, the Emperor with a lightsaber. let's hope it isn't as weird as finally seeing Yoda with one.

Seems the coolest bit of this one will be the return (preturn?) of an OT character. That's where all the good stuff was..

At least we finally get the Wookies, like we were originally meant to have in RotJ, before George decided to shrink them and scramble 'Wookie' to make 'ewok'.

Once this is out of the way, we can all look forward to the TV show! Anyone heard anything more about that?

I saw the trailer the day it was available to Hyperspace, but a friend sent it to me. I almost broke a circuit from excitement! Anakin had really freaky eyes in it, I heard that he becomes Vader about half way through the movie. But, I have a feeling it'll be closer to the end and that "Rise" scene will be the last scene in the movie. I wonder who Palpie fights, maybe Yoda! But I have a feeling Yoda will be fighting General Grievous. Is that a Mon Calamari Cruiser that's all battered up and being sprayed?

I heard about that TV show. Here's to hoping that it's about a younger Han Solo! We'll get more of an explanation of the life debt that Chewie has with Han if that's so.

 

I doubt it'll be a Mon Cal cruiser, since the Mon Cals we saw in ROTJ were modified civilian transports and the first Mon Cal cruisers built specifically for war happened way way later on.

As far as the Mon Cal go anyway, it seems there was a good chunk of division on Mon Calamari. In the Clone Wars cartoon, we see Mon Calamari working on the side of the Jedi/Clones, fighting against the Quareen. Yet in The Battle for Kimino comic, we see Mon Calamari fighting for the Seperatists. My personal feelings on the issue is that the planet was strongly divided, but not in a species way.

I realized shortly after posting that it could be a Confederation starship (maybe it's a whole Confed vs. Republic battle over Coruscant). I'm not too sure what part the Calamarians would play anyways, if they even show up, in Episode 3.

There are too many question I want to get answers to, like how did Anakin get saved from falling in lava (or maybe he didn't actually fall in or was it even lava)? And, how does Yoda get to Dagobah and what's with the dark cave there?

Vader is starting to seem like a brat rather than the cool dark archetype he always was before the new movies. I suppose he must have become the dark sith lord some way or another.

 

The lava question will be answered soon. As far as the cave in Dagobah goes, IIRC this was answered in one of the books, and that that cave had been permanently stained by the death of a sith lord or something.
