Art Esca fanart (warnings: non-graphic nudity, shounen ai)

Well, I figured I'd go ahead and try posting some art here. ^^ It's sketchy stuff - I rarely color anything, for fear of accidentally screwing it up. XD Both of these pics are Escaflowne fanart.

The first is a profile of Zongi, the doppelganger sent by Folken to prevent Miguel, the captured Dragonslayer, from being interrogated in Freid. I know, I know, Zongi's icky... but he's actually fun to draw. I was just messing around with some cheap charcoals, that's the result.

The second image is the one you don't wanna look at if you dislike yaoi and/or shounen ai. It's not graphic, but it does imply things. XD Namely, things involving Folken and Dilandau. (They're nude, but shown only from the hips up - and they're not actually doing anything naughty, don't worry.) This is the one I'm really interested in getting feedback on - I have a hell of a time drawing Folken and making him look his age. :/ I'm actually pleased with how this picture came out, in terms of their faces - though there are some areas that could be better (Folken looks a bit scrawny, for one). It's a lightly-inked sketch, so yes, I'm aware that it's messy and unfinished.

 

Thank you... ^^ I'm detail-obsessed, but honestly, I need some better pens. The one I used for the Folken/Dilandau pic is starting to die on me, but all my others are just generic writing pens and the lines are often too thick. I'd actually like to add more detail here - more muscle tone and some shading - but I'm afraid of ruining it with the pens I've got.

*is too cheap to buy real art supplies, yes* XD

 

wow, those pics are awsome, I rather the second one I like skethcy pictures ^_^. Nice to see that sabre J2X notaiced you, I have yet to be notaiced by him, (I am trying hard tho) seriously that not meant to be an insult to anyone, I regard sabre j2x as a great artist and being recognized by him would be great ^_^

Thank you. ^^ I decided to leave that one unfinished partially because it was drawn on paper that didn't respond well to erasing - but I also like sketchy artwork. It lends something to the picture when it has that messy look.

 

You drew that :catgirl: you are really talented, and I like them very much. Are you going to draw some more for us??? You should color them, they would look spiffarishis!!!!(Spiffy) I do like your work a lot :catgirl:

 

Sankyuu. X3 I probably will post more in the future. ^^ I think these pics are going to remain uncolored, though - certainly the charcoal one will, but I'm really lazy about coloring things in general. XD
