Very big shock... 150-1 at the start of the tournament... according to my Euro 2004 guide 'o be eliminated with no points in the group stages'. Well look at them now, winners of Euro 2004! They have performd well though Greece. To be truthful, their attack isn't 'that' grat, but once they get the chance, they counterattack and get their goal, then they defend and defend and defend, mind you they are briliant at the back.

    Facts Euro 2004:

    - Greece has not won any games in any major tournament prior to their Euro 2004 campaign
    - 77 goals scored in Euro 2004
    - Milan Baros is the highest goalscorer with 5 goals
    - Swiss forward Johann Volanthen is the youngest goalscorer at 17 years old
    - Russian forward Kirichenko is the fastest goalscorer scoring on the 70th second after kickoff
    - Raul, Vieri, Kuranyi scores 0 goals!
    - Kluivert didn't given get picked to play despite every other Dutchman getting a piece of the ball either as a starter or a substitute.
    - Holland ends penalty shoot-out draught after 5 consecutive exits in major tournaments. England are yet to end theirs.
    - Italy go home despite winning 1 and drawing 2 (goal differences is to blame)
    - Sweden's 5-0 vistory over Bulgaria is the highest scoring game
    - Beckham misses 2 penalties
    - Greece win Euro 2004

I am very surprised over Greece's victory over Portugal. This shows that a team with no so-what big stars can achieve big things. Greece showed us that working hard, and with a good team spirit you can go far.

    Greece desevered this victory. Congrats.

    v. pissed.
I watched the game and portugal could have scored twice but crazy guy with two earings missed it twice. Portugal is my team, and find it quite hilarious that greece, the underdogs beyond all underdogs beat portugal a very well formed team with maniche & deco & ferreira.. etc...

Must give Grrece the credit. They were highly disciplined and defended very well, in my opinion the best defence of any nation in Euro 2004.

Your so-called 'crazy guy with two ear rings' is called Christiano Ronaldo from Man Utd.
