    I have seen pictures of Evangelion Unit 04.It looks just like Unit-02 but its silver.I have watched the whole series and both movies and I have never seen this.I thought the rest of the EVA series(4 to 12)were the ones that Asuka fought in End of Evangelion.

    Does anyone here know where 04 appeared?Like I said I never saw it in the series or the movies.

    I thought Unit-04 was the one that made the US branch of NERV disappear without a trace when they tried using a lillium-based S2 engine on it? Okay, quick check on my sources reveals my info to be truth.

    There are toys and drawings out of it, but you never actually get to see it in the anime. I don't know about the manga, but essentially, it never gets to see any action or any screen time.

    Also, I believe that Asuka fought the Mass-Production EVAs, which were numbered 5-13.

    And yeah, 04 almost looks like 02, 'ceptin' color...and I think a head similar to that of 03's.

    Oh yeah.I remember now.Heh,I forgot about that:sweat:.Its been a while since I watched that episode.

    I saw an action figure of 04 ,and it looked liked 02....but now that you mention 03,it does look more like 03 than 02.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

    I have the figure myself, and its a great piece. Lots of customization options via removeable hands, heads, weapons and a shield.

    Unit 04 was the best looking one in m opinion. I have a feeling that the branch of NERV where it was, was destroyed by Seele. Go on! Ask me why!

    I'll bite and ask, although I don't particularly see why. I mean, didn't the sensors at Nerv pick up a large energy spike? The kind associated by the Evas?

    Well, SEELE *could* have tried out the unfinished dummy plug on it, causing a fault and an overload.

    They did it because it would be too dangerous to their plans if it broke free with it's own eternal power supply. That's why they only put S2's in the Mass Produced evas. Cuz they had no souls and only used dummy plugs they were completely under their control.

    It was stated in the series that the evas HAD to have souls to work. That's why Yui disappeared, and why Asuka's 'kaasan went off the deep end.

    It has some merit though...maybe the soul in question wasn't someone they could manipulate. As you know, 01 had a tendency to save Shinji, while Rei didn't like being in 00 (probably had something to do with the soul in there because it hated Rei...I'm referring to Naoko Akagi, BTW).
