    After realeasing a few new pictures on their web site Weta Work Shop has announced that the project is currently on hold for the moment. However they don't give a reason why as of yet. The rumor mill is already running with ideas that ADV intends to abandon the project. As well as the idea of funding problems and the lack of a director. You can see for yourself at their website:

    It seems that the only good news in all of this is that they've decided to leave the names the way they were in the anime, theres going to be no more Kate Rose ^^. Don't forget to check some of the new art, its really good.

    Brings a whole new meaning to the term "The End of Evangelion" :D

    Anyway I think it's better this way... the story is too complex to be portrayed in 2 hours.
