Excel Saga Excel Dubs

ADV's Excel Saga to be done by inexperienced Voice actors

Source listings reveal voice talent for Western Excel Saga. Who are these people? If anyone knows of any work they've done, please let me know! Excel Saga is one of my favourite Manga/anime and I'd rather it was treat with a bit of respect and be manned by a team of succesful,competent voice actors.:anger2:

 

I look forward to the Excel Saga dubs with a certain morbid curiosity. How they can possibly pull it off..

Anyway, the one I can think of off the top of my head is Misaki. Her english voice actress also did Asuka in Eva. (someone correct me if I'm off base) For the rest, I'd have to look stuff up, but it's naptime now

Wait! The voice of Iz-chan and pedro's sexy wife are different actors in the dub!! What the hell are they going to do with the whole joke where pedro realises tha they sound identical during his first battle with "that man"??? It's stupid!
Ahhhhh!!! I forsee a terrible vision of good anime gone wrong!!!

 

NOOOOOOOOOO........ First off I don't particularly like dubs. Now, if there ever was an anime I thought that it would be impossible to do a decent dub of let alone live up to the original it would be a Dub of Excel Saga. I'm not sure it could be done as well even in japanese. I mean Pedro and his family, I've never be so entertained just by listening to a characters voice. When Ilparatzo speaks in English? Not to mention Excel herself.
It can't be done I tell you it just can't. It's a complete waste of time and money. Even if you didn't understand a word of japanese it would probably be more entertaining for a person to watch than a dub of this show.

Misaki should be voiced by someone who sounds cool and confident NOT someone who sounds like an impertinant 4th Grader holding thier nose as Tiffany Grant (the person cast) most certainly does. When they're released, may by them but I'm keepin' em on SUB. Even then I bet the subtitles get watered down whaddya wanna bet that Watanabes well timed "WHAT THE F***?!" gets turned into "What the hey?!" I'd put money on ADV doin' some "dragonball" style editing on episode 26 assuming they even release it.:anger2:

 

Fully agreed with Little Nicky. I enjoyed eps 19-26 thoroughly, even though there were no subtitles whatsoever. (please don't tell me subbed eps are available, I know and now have some)

 

Misaki Matsuya is a dangerous special agent working for Kababu. She has both unwanted attention from Iwata and the same unfortunate camera angles that follow Hinako Ninimiya (Ranma character) around, curiouslly they are voiced by the same person. She is apparently a dangerous scarey person with no tolerance for idiots, so the fact that she works with Iwata Watanabe Sumiyoshi and Kababu makes her life difficult. She occasionally shows a soft side though. Likes chocolate.

 

I saw excel saga and I have to say the dub version isn't that bad. Jessica caravello talk fast that make the show weird. but this show is supposed to be weid... isn't it?

 

She talks fast? lol yes Excel talks fast in the original, so it's fitting that she does in the dub as well. Good to hear I may just watch it after all

 

Of all the dubs I heard in anime, Excel Saga has to be one of the best I heard, although I don't like Hyatt too much dubbed, the rest seems pretty good, and from what I hear, Excel dubbed talks a lot faster then Excel Jap

 

Wow, I really didn't think that was possible.. Physically or otherwise. I mean, does she say twice as much? Creative embellishment? Now I am really curious, though that curiosity is a little less morbid than it was at the time of my first post in this thread

The dubb is not that bad! ^_^ I've watched both sub and dubb and I have failed to find anything bad about the dubbs of the first five episodes.

WHAT?! The dub needs a lot of work! It goes so fast that words are slurred and you can't understand her. Plus she's so frickin' screechy. Of course, i haven't got anything other than dub to compare it too...
