I was just wondering about you guys who watch excel saga. Do you tihnk it is stupid or entertaining?

I myself think it's a bit of both really. There are some funny bits every now and then, and theres alot of stupid bits, thats why i made 3 choices.

I tend to agree. The first volume in the dvd collection is hilarious, but after that things get just plain stupid. However, it turns around in the last few episodes which are a laugh riot

From what I've seen, it's just funny. It's entertaining as well, but now that you mention it, it is a bit stupid. Stupidly funny, that is. So it's stupid and funny... it's both. Stupid and funny.

Note: It's a lot like "Family Guy," they both parody everything in their culture. Only Family Guy isn't funny.

It's on the same line as Monty Python, Animaniacs and everything else crazy. Even the craziest/stupidest things can be entertaining, ne?

I think it's brilliant in how stupid it is. It makes fun of almost everything. I mean, the creators were the most brilliant I've seen in a while.

I can't speak for the whole series, but from what I've seen, it's hillarious. Especially when you turn on that thing in Special features that makes each episode seem like its on Pop-up Video.

I just came from watching an episode of this in my anime club....the one with the two robots...

But anyway, I'd have to agree with everyone here: Stupid, and it = funny.

    Just finished watching it.

It has some japanese pop culture references that went over my head. But the out and out parodies of the likes of gundam, fist of the north star and hollywood action movies I thought were very clever.

I also liked the way it took every opportunity to send *itself* up, by including the creators of the show or telling the characters to play it serious for one episode.
