Ok, here's the sitch. As of 2005 (not so sure of the exact date ) the Saber Marionette J Manga on Tokyo Pop is out of print, which means they have discontinued printing them and only a handful of prints are left available. As we all know, licenses have limitations and they have certain periods before they expire, does it mean that the Tokyopop license has already expired as of 2005? I was just speculating, if that is the case then the ban on the internet release for the Tokyopop licensed Saber Marionette Mangas can be lifted now, for they have no longer control over them. It's just a thought though... Correct me if I'm wrong :p

I'm no law expert, but I believe that even after Tokyopop's license has expired, their works still retain the original copyright.

What I get from that is unless you get express permission from the author to distribute the works on the internet, you are not within the bounds of the law to do what you are thinking.
