My neighbour has snakes, I didn't know until today (prob because they hibernate and I think she only came here last winter).

Anyway they came outside today for the 1st time this year and she gave me one to handle, I've never done that before. I wasn't nervous with it at all, I actually think they feel nice. She has two one is like silver grey and the other is more red. I forgot to ask the species, but they are quite long and you can just get your thumb and finger around them thick wise.

So anyway, does anyone or anyones freinds/neigbours here have any unusual pets like snakes, spiders, rats, toads or that kind of thing?

ANybody afraid of that kind of animal?

    EDIT
I just found out I'm talking rubbish about them hibernating (some snakes do tho, I think). They are carpet snakes, or carpet python, from Australia.

I had a pet rat named Ritz when I was 8. Ritz was awesome. I don't see why people freak out over domestic rats.

I once had a pet crawfish. I loved her so. Then she got stuck in her shell while trying to shed. >_<

Back in Cincinnati, the people who lived across the street owned an iguana. That's it for neighbors.

I've always wanted a pet snake, but my mother is terrified of them, and would never allow one in the house.

I will openly admit, spiders scare the living daylights out of me. Other than that (and centipedes *shudder*), there's not much that'll frighten me animal-wise.

A dog is not an extreme pet.

My teacher in second grade has a pet rat should would bring in.

My friend Sam had a flying squirrel then it choked on a fruitloop and died.

As for myself. I have Buffy- The Vampire Slayer..! No, Buffy is a cockerspanial, so she isn't that great...maybe she could be Extreme by being the most lazy dog ever! I want a chinchilla though.

My Cousin Andrea, has has Ducks, Lizards, Chinchilla, a ferret ( WHICH WAS EVIL). She could have got an Ostrige too, but she deiced it wouldn't do well in the field with the horses and it would be a lot of work to take care of.

they're just ordinary animals but here:

2 rats. naruto and rock lee
2 mice. pinky and browny. + i guess one i found in running around in my room today. named em jimmy
    lots of those black crickets
    a couple of slugs.
few crayfishes. favorite named 'big red'
potato bug. or whatever they're called.
    catepillars which turned into butterflies
    millepedes
this little tiny spider i found in my room. he WAS pretty big and was hairy, like about half the size of a regular turantula. he was living in my shower and one day when i was taking a shower, i accidently knocked him to to shower floor and when i tried to get him out using my hand, soap and water went on to him, and he died. named him shyabutarou.
    tadpoles that turned into frogs.
2 reg store bought frogs. k.c and zack.
    chameleons/lizards/geckos.
i think that's all. man, i alway wanted a snake, lizard (like those hardcore kind), hamster, ferret, or owl. but crap, they barely let any animal come to hawaii... it's so lonely.

By extreme, it would mean exotic, right? Well. My brother was pretty fond of those kinds back then, so I was terrified to step out of my room. >>

He owned lots and lots of spiders. He kept frogs, lizards, cockroaches, worms *shudders* and bugs in an empty room in the topmost floor of the house. At times, some would roam the house. Those times would always scare the soul out of me.

I've never had anything too bizarre, pet wise.. unless you count my little sister. My friend Randy has a pirahanna named Nessi and his roommate Angel has an alligator named snappy. Snappy's only like a foot long right now.. but she's gonna grow to be like 15 feet. I dunno how legal they are... but they're pretty awsome. Too bad their apartment always smells like an aquarium.

Here.. I think Angel's got pictures of them on his myspace.

Oh yeah.. speaking of snappy.. I had a snapping turtle named cocoa when I was a kid. Sadly, he ran away. I'm serious.
