Anyone ever played this game? Anyone ever even heard of it? I just got my hands on a copy and I've never really played anything like this before. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Took me a while to find out what you were talking about - Indigo Prophecy. The game was retitled from "Fahrenheit" in July.

I've yet to give it a try, but it sounds promising. I heard it's a dark-themed FPS that succeeds at being a video game imitating a movie. What's really got me interested is how it's supposed to be a game where you actually care about the characters - I like games that do that.

Exactly the same. It's more of a 3rd person adventure along the lines of Grim Fandango. It's much darker and much more mature but it does try to pass itself off as an interactive movie.

Truth of the matter is the story line seems rock solid and rather intriguing. Your characters have various moods and your actions either calm them or drive them towards anxiety and eventually suicide. At the very beginning your character awakens to find himself over the body of a man he just stabbed. You spend the first few minutes trying to hide the body, clean yourself up, stash the weapon and get out before a cop in the diner strolls on back to the bathroom to use it. The whole game is one long scripted event and it seems almost completely open ended. You're always under timed circumstances such as that which dictate which actions you take and which you cannot avoid.

It's like nothing I've ever played before. Even the simplest of tasks such as picking up a cup of coffee has been revamped to include your own motion of the mouse to assist the character.

Heard that this game was really good. It's only acting on one place if I am correct?

Bad part about this game, from what I have heard, is that it's too too short. My classmate finished it on an entire campus day...

It is very short but you more than likely will replay 2-3 times. I rented it last night and am at the third to last chapter.

    -Possible Spoilers-

Only problem is that by the end of the game the story has gone to hell and is just straying from the Mayan sacrifice rituals and into the " U R DA 1 WHU GOTA SAVE WURLD LOLZ TAKE DA RED PILL" plot. I don't mind it too much, but I'd really prefer them sticking with the way it started.

You'll finish it before you have to return it. :p I do like the game I guess, it's got a nice cast of characters, but again, THE SHORTNESS...

I picked it up on XBox and I havent enjoyed a game this much since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It gets my vote for game of the year, not often something like this comes along and people everywhere should pick it up and play it.
As pointed out by Shijin, it is quite short but well worth it.

I've heared of it and seen bits of it. I'll admit it's not my style of game, but either way it looks graphically pleasing and challenging, though I'm not entirely sure what it's about lol XD
