Recreation Fairday Riddling-Riddle Me This

I'd like to get a little competition going. Okay, all the Stephen King fans who've read the Gunslinger stories may or may not have an edge. So, here's an example riddle, and we post until somebody finds the answer. Whoever finds the answer first and posts the answer wins! Okay, and I'll put up the riddles myself!

The easiest riddle on earth:

Walk on the living, they don't even mumble, Walk on the Dead, they groan and grumble. What are they?

Good job! 1 point! ^^; Well, this thread doesn't seem to be going well, but here's another riddle. This one is told in the Gunslinger style:

What is worse than Old Man Splitfoot,
Better than God & Heaven,
Dead people eat this always,
And if living people at this, they'd die faster?

What is greater then god, more evil then the devil, the rich need it, the poor have it, and if we eat it we will die...

Erm....Old sneakers?

They can either be comfortable, or give you horrible blisters, and the rich people have NEW shoes, the poor ones have old shoes (If they have shoes at all) and im pretty sure they are not meant to be ingested.

That's Right, MO! 1 Point! I like the old sneakers answer too, so 1 point there! Um, I wasn't too clear on this. You don't have to have read anything to understand these, it's just, the versions of the riddle are the ones in SK books, The Dark Tower series.

Such as, if you work it out, the Devil is old man splitfoot.

Oh, and even if you've heard the riddle before, you can post, but you should wait a little while to give people time to work it out.
