Hello everybody I made this thread just to see what everybodys favorite holiday is. I have two favorite holidays, Christmas and Halloween. The reason why I like Christmas is because you get to spend time with family and friends.......AND YOU GET PRESENTS!!!!!!....*ahem* my other favorite holiday wouuld have to be Halloween because you get to dress up as someone or something your not for a day, and you get candy. How about you guys?

I'd have to say the same two. They are so hard to choose from!

Christmas for the presents and the all around happy feeling that comes with it.

Then Halloween for the dressing up. I love dressing up! This Halloween rocked, and I loved my costume! We had so much fun! I also got to dress up quite a few other people too! ;) Can't wait till next year.

Just holidays? Or events, too? If the former, I'd have to go with Christmas, of course. I like Christmas not so much for what apparently started it, but for the warm feelings it brings. For the happy times, and the togetherness we all enjoy, not to mention the presents.

If events count as well, Anime North is a great one. I plan on going many more times.

My vote goes to Christmas, considering it's the only holiday I really bother celebrating.

Probably Christmas. Birthdays maybe, next year turning 18 and my mates have already planned some "friendly" parties for me.

Hey Jakotsu is it okay if I put two? Well whatever. Okay my favorite holiday would have to be Halloween. It is really cool how for a night you can jbe someone other than yourself. My second favorite holiday would have to be Christmas. One Word: PRESENTS! :D

It's a tough decision. Either Christmas or Easter, for the religious aspects of course. Giving presents is fun too, so is receiving them XD But, I just get clothes anymore.

Probably Christmas, cause you get ot spend sometime getting drunk with your family, catching up on things that you did over the past year and also it's not as long as summer so you don't end up getting really bored.

    St.Patricks Day!
    Two reasons:
    1. Cause it's my B-Day!
    2. Actually there's no other reason.
Um, and you get to wear green and pinch other people if their not wearing green!

A few years ago, I'd probably have said Halloween (for the dressing up and the opportunity to traumatize small children XD). Independence Day would have been my second choice, not because I'm patriotic (far from it), but because I love fireworks. But the sad fact is that in recent years, most holidays just serve to remind me that most of my close friends live nowhere near me, and since I'm not close with most of my family, I don't really have anyone to celebrate with. I end up feeling alone and annoyed with the world, and frustrated because I don't have the ways and means to go visiting people or buying them the gifts I'd like to get them. :/ And since I'm neither a child nor religious, nor able to spend time with people I care about usually, much of the significance and "magic" of the holidays has worn off for me.

    ...Bah humbug! :p

Aww, that's too bad. Christmas, (among other things) is supposed to be a time of togetherness, a happy time of the year when you can see people you care about, catch up on old times, and, not to mention, give and get given presents by those same people.

I'm sorry that you feel that way, and I wish there was some way to revive the holiday spirit in you. Unfortunately, there is little I can do from here, except offer you my best wishes. I hope you find someone special who can relight the magic of Christmas, not to mention any other holidays you are disenchanted with.

    Halloween (candies) \ Christmas (presents)

    I'm a pretty simple person.

Can I consider Canada Day a holiday? It's July 1st, and I get 2 months of holiday time ^___^ I usually crash from hard work, but it's great. Christmas has a very nostalgic feel, I actually love giving presents more than receiving now, but I tend to go broke, but the holidays there only last 2 weeks :(

Me too. I used to love xmas, but things are different now...

Halloween is now my favorite, although technically it isn't a real holiday!
Hallow's Eve has is nothing but fun, mischeif, candy, and masquerade. The one day you can be something comlpetely different, and nobody will care.
It also has such style... you know? It's notorius for being "evil" and etc, so it has a very gothic feel. I enjoy that.

Halloween I guess... 1. my birthday is the day before and 2. my family aint bugging me to clean the house or wrap presents.
I used to like Christmas more.... but now my family drives me nuts and has me wrap everypresent and what not. That and now that two of my good friends have moved up north it isn't gonna be nearly as much fun... no more Niesen family christmas parties.
