For those who don't know,a Manga-ka is a manga creator.Who are some of your favorites?Mine are:

    Mitsuru Adachi(Short Program)
    Ken Akamatsu(Love Hina)
    CLAMP(Chobits)
    Akira Toriyama(Dragonball)

And for those of you that have not read Adachi's Short Program,I STRONGLY recommend that you do.It's an absolute masterpiece!
You can buy a copy from Viz's Shop-By-Mail Catalog for about $15.
    I also heard that he's making a Short Program 2!I can't wait!

Takahashi Rumiko (Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2) and Minekura Kazuya (Gensomaden Saiyuki, Wild Adapter) are tied for my favorites, with Yuu Watase (Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres) a close second.

I think my two favorite would have to be Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2 and others) and Yu Watase (Fushigi Yugi and others). There is certainly other mangas I like but not sure if I would say that the manga-ka's of those works would be my favorite.

I can't say I was all that impressed with Yumisuke Kotoyoshi's work on the SMJ manga, but if it counts, Tsukasa Kotobuki, the character designer of SMJ, definately holds the top.

Other than that, I liked Rikdo Koshi's (Excel Saga) work. He'd probably have second place, and I'm not sure who did Mahoromatic, but the artist for that would be in third.
