Put up your favorite/most memorable scenes from any anime series/movie/OVA! Which particular scenes always send a shiver down your spine, make you laugh, cry, or just stare awe-struck? Remember, this is for scenes, not particular shows/movies nor episodes within them.

Here are some of my favorites:

    *****WINGS OF HONNEAMISE SPOILER*****

-the launch sequence in the end of Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise. It just looks so awesome, and you finally get to see what Shiro and his team have worked so hard for . . . even though it's amidst a pending war. I also really liked how in the last half of the movie Shiro is always thinking about what he's going to say when he's finally up in space and he's practicing it, and when he finally gets up there he decides to go in an entirely different direction and has a small epiphany (though there are points in his final speech where it can seem a bit corny).

    *****END

    *****Blood: The Last Vampire Spoiler*****

-The infirmary scene in Blood: The Last Vampire when Saya runs in, kills the girl in the bed, and stabs the second girl. The jazz backdrop an interesting irony (reminded me of the end of Metropolis). But it wasn't the gore and the killing that made me stare wide-eyed at the screen; it was the nurse and her reaction. If the nurse wasn't in the scene, then I wouldn't have cared for the scene nearly as much. Her screaming, coupled with the demonic growl of the second girl as Saya is about to kill her, causes an enormous amount of tension to just build and build and doesn't seem to end!! Just thinking about what that nurse was going through, psychologically speaking, as one of her 'students' is now a corpse spraying blood around the room, I just can't imagine what that would be like.

    *****END

    *****Serial Experiments Lain spoiler*****

-the scene near the end of the series where Lain proves the existence of an actual "g(G)od" to the "god" of the wired, and "god" goes crazy and begins to physically manifest himself through the technology in Lain's room and Arisu (or Alice) can't even begin to comprehend what's going on.

    *****END

I'm not going to label this as a spoiler since it takes place during the first episode of Crest of the Stars. It's the scene when Jinto, as a child, walks outside and looks up to see hundreds of Abh spaceships entering the atmosphere. I also really like the piece of music that plays during this scene. I also find the dialogue that goes on between Jinto and his childhood friend in the second episode very touching.

And that's all for now ^_^

oooo....I have a lot for Escaflowne, both movie and series

    *spoilers!!!*

    1. When the reaction of the drag-energists causes an earthquake that creates a fault under Hitomi's feet. She slides down the side on her back and is screaming. Then Van yells her name, takes off his shirt and jumps off the dragon form of Escaflowne. Hitomi raises her hand and Van sprouts his gorgeous wings and catches her.

    2. Ever single time Hitomi has a vision.

    3. First, when Van and Hitomi are in a barn and Van is working on his sword and Hitomi is sitting in the hay. Then, Van tries his hardest to tell Hitomi he wants her, but bungles it by saying he wants her power. Then she slaps him runs off into the rain. Later, after she's wandered a while and Folken and Eriya(i think?) are trying to redirect Hitomi and Van's love, she stops on the bridge. Then after some waiting, Allen shows up. It goes back to Van and he's worried about Hitomi so he goes to look for her. Hitomi and Allen kiss in the rain. Then Hitomi sees Van watching them with a VERY hurt experession and runs off.

    4. When Hitomi wants to go home. She screams something to the extent of "I don't want to see it anymore. You enjoyed fighting. I saw it! You liked it." Van says "But I'm fighting to protect you" She says " I don't you to protect me if this is what it does to you. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the fighting. I don't want to see it anymore. Somebody send me back to my world!!!" And then she's instantly sent back home in a pillar of light. Van and Allen are left there hurt.

    5. When Van goes to the Mystic Moon to get her and he helps her onto his Escaflowne. (soooo cute!) Then Hitomi hugs Van.

    6. When Van rescues Hitomi from Dornkirk after Folken died.

    MOVIE

    1. When Hitomi is being transported to Gaea and the water is rising up around her and she just stands there watching the earth.

    2. When Hitomi gets her wings.

    3. When Hitomi tries to keep the Escaflowne from descending.

    4. When....oh hell, who am i kidding. I love the whole series and the whole movie and i don't have any favorite parts 'cause it's all sooooo good!

Odin and Kyrie have good choices, but the best scene I've ever seen in an anime is in FLCL ep 2(I think), the scene where Mamimi sees Canti for the first time, hybrid rainbows is playing in the background(which is my favourite pillows{and japanese} song ever). It's quite literaly breathtaking. The first time I watched it, I believe my exact words were, "Dude..."

    I remember that scene!

    I never saw the last two episodes of FLCL . . . . I ought to do that sometime . . .

Same thing with Escaflowne. How good is it? I've only heard good opinions, so I'm thinking of borrowing it sometime soon.

I have nothing but great things to say about escaflowne!
But I recommend watching the series before the movie if you haven't already seen it. ^_^

    ****Spoilers for Marmalade boy*******

I would have to say my favorite was when the two main characters, whose names I have completely spaced on, kiss in the infirmary after she got hit with the basketball. That was soooooo CUTE!

Hmmmm...this is HARD. You know how many good scenes there are out there!? *sigh* :D

    SPOILER No. o1

The Third Impact in Shin Seiki Evangelion's movie. Man, that was completely memorable. Well, mostly because it was pretty freaky. But, when I saw it again in the AMV, "God Called In Sick Today"...I was blown away...enough to watch it again. Man, talk about insane...especially when the mass production units started to devour Unit-02.

    SPOILER No. o2

FLCL's last few scenes. Not only was it super-freaky...but it was an awesome assault. You got blaring music, screaming people, dragonball styled (But cooler, since Naota and Haruko uses a guitar...) fighting, and...well, FOOLY COOLY. Naota looks AWESOME in the end...if only because of Atomsk. :D

    SPOILER No. o3

Cowboy Bebop, episode 24. Faye learning her past, and Ed leaving. Those were really sad. Sadder than Bebop's real ending, tbh. Well, fine, equal to. It also heralded "Call Me, Call Me" one of my most listened to songs...ever.

    SPOILER No. o4

Video Girl Ai. Man, that was a memorable one. I loved the whole OVA in general. I wish I had the manga...*sigh*. I especially loved the very end, happy, yet...y'know...kinda dramatic. Youta's ending speech was a little expected, but the way he said it was...I dunno...heartening.

    SPOILER No. o5

Ranma ½ OAV - Episode o7 - Reawakening Memories (Part II). I like when Ranma goes all super-protective. Dunno, guess it's just my dream to do that for someone. :D In any case, I'm talking about the whole end scene, where Ranma comes crashing in when Akane says that she might be able to grow to love the forgetful Shinnosuke. He was heartbroken, but STILL helped Akane against the Orochi, so she could be happy with the amnesiatic one. Well, and the end of that was just so cute too! :D

    SPOILER No. o5

Ranma ½ - Nihao My Concubine. Man, again, Ranma going over-protective. But, what also was awesome was the rescues...where everyone was paired off. That was...cute. The Mousse and Shampoo thing was the best, other than the Tooma and Ranma fight.

    SPOILER No. o6

Well, the Love Hina Christmas Movie/Special. That's the greatest part of the anime. Well, I don't really know why that is...but the end, where you see all the hinata-sou members just being a family...and...hmm...the whole struggle with Naru and Urashima. Man...oh...and I can't forget Motoko.

....That's all for now. I'll probably post more later. As you can see, I didn't really add too much to the spoilers...but...it's also good encouragement for you guys to go ahead and watch it.
