ok folks, this had to come sooner or later :catgirl:
What's your favourite dish? Do you prefer a starter, main course or pudding, or even a snack?

Mine (at the moment :sweat2: ) is Mongolian Hotpot, which is done in a fondue pot. it's a rich soup that simmers away while you cook chunks of meat in it with your fondue forks ^_^ then once you've finished the meat, you eat the soup! it's like a crazy backwards meal

    Hmm...

For me, it'd be potato soup with cheddar cheese. Lots of cheddar cheese. :anime:

There's lot of others, but I can't think of them right now.

Depending on the skill of the chef, lasagna. If the person cooking doesn't know how to make a good lasagna, well, they aren't a chef at all. This is the meal on which I judge just about every cook.
A good lasagna (i.e. my mom's ... mmmmmm ... Italian family ...) and a tall glass of milk. Paradise.

Of course, barbequed hamburgers are also prime. Preferably, Zanshiburgers, for the few who have been to one of my 'ques. For the rest of you, that's a basic hamburger (often homemade) mixed with various hot sauces (sometimes also homemade) and peppers, topped with cheddar cheese and served on a crusty bun. It's a house specialty. Best with a Molson Canadian or some other fine lager on the side.
You can only really do that in the summer, though.

So, overall, lasagna and milk. The absolute best.

Easily, Japanese quisine tops my list. ^^ Udon, just about any type of sushi, salmon sashimi, and moooooochi. *drools copiously*

For non-Japanese food, however: roast turkey (particularly when it's been in the over all day, cooking veeery slowly), BBQ ribs (although I'll eat just about anything that's been BBQed XD), corn on the cob, and potato & ham chowder served in a fresh bread bowl. :3

well.. I also enjoy dimsum: shrimp dumpling and shaomai, and glutinous rice. I'm still trying to get my rice to be stickier. I had this mental image I need to pound it.. like beat the crap out of the rice after its been sitting in water for hours and steamed for a while.. lol. anyways glutinous rice with shitaki mushrooms, shrimp, bamboo shoots and sausage wrapped and steamed in lotus leaves.. yumm.
