Great games are out now. Great games will always be here. But lets focus in the root of all gamingness. Old School Games. This counts from 1993 all the way down. Can you tell me what your Favourite Old School game is!?
If you must know mine, PacMan will never die. That game can never get old!

I'm for "Eye of the Beholder" series from SSI (except EOB3, it literally sucked).

I can't resist 1st person dungeon crawling. It's adrenaline to the max. Oh boy, when you start hearing the steps of the skeleton warriors echoing on the hall, and then you see you're cornered, and have to fight with all your gnaws and teeth, and use every single weapon to defeat the innumerable enemies... ahhhh. What a moment.

    Privateer of course ;)

I really like old school platformers too: Duke Nukem (1 and 2), Commander Keen, Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure were my favourites. I tried them all though, from Monster Bash to Halloween Harry to Secret Agent.

[nostalgic_mode=ON] Ah, Commander Keen. It kept me hooked for months. -looking at his old 486 motherboard, which is standing on a shelf behind some books:- Do you remember it? And Loom? And Monkey Island. And Indiana Jones: Fate of Atlantis...

Now, I know many people wouldn't agree, but Tyrian is by far at the top of my "best classic games ever played" list. It was a cool shoot'em'up for a start, with lots of levels and enemies. But the ship configuration system, the hooking storyline, the secrets, hidden mini-games, and that awesome music made it great. In fact, Tyrian's soundtrack is among the music I listen to more frequently. Pity the game doesn't play very well on newer computers...

Privateer for me too! Along with the other Wing Commander games and Strike Commander.

I also like the old Lucasarts games like X-wing, Tie Fighter and Dark Forces!
