Square Enix ff the spirit within

did anyone see final fantasy the spirit within.

it's scince ficition movie.

 

i saw it...not really sure if i liked it or not; the characters looked almost looked lke real actors(well they were realistic) and the music was kinda cool...pretty good movie but not one of my top picks

 

I saw it! Even got the DVD (the cheap kind from Beijing ^^;. I tell ya, the graphics are MARVELOUS!! It has the best graphics I've seen so far. The story however...is so so.

 

but the movie was not too bad.

 

This movie shouldnt have been named Final Fantasy because it didnt have any relations with the games. The only reason for calling this movie "FF" is to buy more publicity

 

Actually they called it FF because of one character Cid which they spelled Sid...

I agree with Toma, this movie doesn't deserve the title Final Fantasy. Maybe it was publicity.

I'm not really happy about this movie, because it almost caused Square to go bankrupt! That means no more RPG's. ((Source of this fact: Game Network .))

We had a thread going about this way back when the movie first came out, and everyone seemed to be saying that, especially me. It's like that Planet of the Apes movie from last year: a good movie, but couldn't even hope to live up to the reputation of its predecessors.
FF was a good movie, though. I wish I could complain that there were too many movies like it on the market.

when i was going to watch it i think it will be the same of the games.

 

The graphics were the best ive ever seen! And I would prefer the grafics in FF more then "real people" graphics ^^!!! But...There was SOMETHING about the movie which I hated...Maybe it's the story, or maybe it's the fact the movie went to fast, or maybe the ending sucked? Or better yet, all of the above! But anyway, something was just horrible about it...o.o I dont know what..

 

Personally, I felt that the name Final Fantasy might have drawn negative attention to the movie. The typical opinions I was hearing were along the lines of "Final Fantasy = nerds. Nerds = bad." and then they all went to see pulpy Julia Roberts trash or something ... I thought that was just a Chatham thing, with the antifinalfantasism because of antinerdism, but I heard it in London as well ... accursed Sega-loving/Squaresoft-hating football morons ...

 

I heard that they were gonna make another FF movie, but this time they are going to be more careful than last time!! So if it does come out i hope it is good!!

 

Lets hope that if there is a new movie, it's not sci-fic. Oh and it should also include these:

• Fantasy/adventure atomsphere not a gloomy SCi-fi type
• Magic
• Chocoboes, Moogles, Catuars, Tonberries, Moomas... etc..
• GF, Aeons, Espers, summons etc..
• Keeping the job system (Mages Black, blue ,red etc.)
• Cid not Sid (( kidding :sweat2: ))
• Group of 6 main character or more ((looks at the anime))
• A powerful mystical villain or villains/ could be physically powerful like Sephiroth
• a large world to explore (( ex. mysterious civilization to discover))
• Crystals (( magicite, materia etc.))
• Items
• Cool Weapons ((I'm sick of both guns and swords))
• Awesome story! ((hates repetitive and predictable))
• Traditional monsters
• Characters from the original FF games brought together with new ones
