Square Enix FF7 Ending

What do you think happened in the end in ff7.

was the world purged or something leaving only red 13's clan to thrive,killing cloud and the others or did he die of old age.I think the first would be more dramatic,and maybe some prefer to think he wasnt killed. i hadnt really thought about it until the other day but i feel its important.

I'd prefer to think that the latter happened.

I think that Holy destroyed Meteor and with it destroyed all the corruption in the world. Midgar was covered with life but if you listen closely you can hear birds, running water, and the laughter of children. I use to believe that only Red XIII survived but now I know that everyone made it. Holy only destroyed Meteor and what it thought was evil like the Mako Reactors. That's what I believe happened.

 

I thought humans were killed, because Holy wiped out evil, and the humans were destroying the planet.

 

I don't think all of humanity was destroyed, and I didn't get that impression. I think it was just midgar was destroyed, and all the mako plants. Just because it didn't have humans in the ending, doesn't mean they're not around anymore.

 

Well,sephiroth did kinda tell you about clouds ancestors stealing the planet from the cetra,so maybe all the humans were killed.But I prefer to think that most people survived.
