    FFVIII SPOLIERS*** Does anyone know as a fact that X is Y's son?

    Does anyone know as a fact that Squall is Laguna's son? I mean that could mean that Raine died giving birth to him and that's why he became an orphan? Laguna wasn't there whn the child was born, too. Is it all coincidence? I think not. Plus that would mean the Ellone is really is his sister. Well not sister, but you could say closer than you think. PLUS Laguna is old and could be the perfect age to be Squall's father.

    I have no facts. It seems that Square deliberately left that issue hanging up in the air so the gamer feels a sense of incompleteness, which is often a good thing in those peaceful times.

    Towards the end of the game Laguna's two mates subtly hints at the possibility that there's a father-son relationship between Laguna and Squall. And of course, we all know who has got Squall's card... what a coincidence eh?

    Actually, it was heaviliy hinted at. Kiros and Ward say that Squall looks exactly like "him." Raine was pregnant when Laguna left....and they all have conspicuously weather related names.

    Lagoon
    Rain
    Squall

    Go figure. Also, the, "we have much to talk about after this," line by Laguna heavily hints at some HUGE secret.

    I was flustered enough with the magic system on there(Item based, absurd!!), THEN my file was accidentally erased by my brother. I don't think I will ever pick up that game again to find out.

    It's pretty much accepted that Squall is Laguna and Raine's son. There is some doubt, but not a whole lot.

    i thought he had a daughter? god..need to play thru that....finish...cause i thought it said in a magazine(in game) something about it

    Ellone is Laguna's surrogate daughter. She is the product of Raine and...err...someone. When Laguna married Raine, they conceived Squall. At least, that's what the game seems to be inferring.

    lol i know ellone isn't her...lol and i knew that they had a kid together(personally, if your reading this thread in the first place, you should have known it was a spoiler thread)

    you know how you find mags here and there? but then, i'm running off of memory here...i guess i just can't seem to work squall being related to laguna lol

    oh oops. i kinda forgot to say that it may contain spoilers. sorry all. but they you guys for putting in your in put. i actually thought that elle was just an orphan adopted by raine. yikes......i was wrong.
