Darn it!! I can't beat the little bastard either!!
But I think it's because my level's not high enough. I gotta do more training. I tried the strategy guide and everything. Maybe you should do the same. Just fight and fight until you think your level's high enough. It might work.

i beat him, but not with skill but by luck. he was pretty mean character. it took me a while, i was stuck on him for a few days and somehow i came across a lucky spree and beat him. im guessing if you level up some more and then it should be a bit easier for you to beat him. but its been a while since i beat the game. i beat it about 3 weeks after it came out. then i really didnt play to beat it, but i played to master everything. but like a complete stupidass i traded it in

seymour flux? the huge thing on the snow mountain? i beat him. i didnt think it was hard at all. i think its because i was so worried of not beating him when i got there that i trained soo much. i got all ma characters to a high level and filled the overdrive on yuna's summons. and fill the overdrives of the other characters. just fight him and use overdrives when needed. and go through you summons doing overdrives. and when he makes you into a zombie use a holy water right away. heal alot and keep yuna healed so she can do summons. and beat him fast, dont let him ownz you with his total anniliation er wutever.
if your trained enough he shouldnt be hard.

i beat him, level ur characters, then let every one have a overdrive full,THen when u battling with him be relax don't be angry or anything else just relax.

and try this attack his shelid whatever it is then he will absor from seymour.if u like to but it will take a long time.

and u must don't think always attacking him, heal ur ally and put in ur sheild zombie ward or zombie proff so he can't let u zombie and full life u. and die

and of coruse u can't use aeons (u know that)

You can use aeons. You just have one turn to use them, but you generally are able to use them. In fact...

    http://www.mangatoanime.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4320&highlight=seymour

If you want the "Mad Aeon Sacrifice Rush", do it this way...you don't have to have Yuna overdriven...but, have every aeon overdriven. Then, just summon them, do their overdrive, and let Seymour kill them. Of course, you can also have Yuna in overdrive...then use one of the items to revive Bahamut (is there one? I can't remember!) and do another 10000+ hit. This rush alone should take care of a LOT of Seymour's HP, though, probably not enough to stop him.

Another way to do it, is to first use Mortichitis to your advantage. Once you "kill" him once, he takes half of his current HP and absorbs it from Seymour. Meaning, he takes 4000 HP, then 2000, then stops at 1000. And, when Seymour prepares his Lances for the Annihilation (or is it Armageddon?) attack, hitting good ol' Morty seems to stop it for a turn.

If you've trained Rikku, she's probably a good member to keep in the fight...because she's one of the faster ones. That gives her the advantage of healing before Seymour can do anything to your zombified members. Then again...Tidus is also fast...*hint*

But, I don't use much of anything other than quick hit, once I have it in my possession...

Remember, Save Spheres act as "Tents" and automatically fill up HP and MP...so use them. Having on in Mt. Gagazet makes it EASY to gain levels. Especially against bombs, if you have a Deathtouch/strike weapon. They seem especially weak against that.

ORRRRR...you can always use the tonberry level up trick and just pwn for the rest of the game...which is what I would do, because I'm sadistic that way.

Step 1: Capture a Tonberry or Don Tonberry.

Step 2: Have Overdrive -> AP abilities on the party members weapons you want to use the trick on. It also helps to have the Triple/Double Overdrive, and Triple/Double AP abilities.

Step 3: For one member (heretofore known as the Attacker, and he should preferably be the stronger of the three) set his Overdrive to Stoic. For the other two, set it to Comrade.

Step 4: Make sure you have LOTS of Pheonix Downs. And Auto-Phoenix helps.

Step 5: Go to the Arena in the Calm Lands and pay to fight a Tonberry.

Step 6: Have your Attacker hit the Tonberry, using Fight is fine. Do NOT use the others, and ONLY use the Attacker to attack the Tonberry. It's the ONLY way to get the experience points!!!! Just have the other two skip turns all the time. The triangle button is your friend, in this case.

Step 7: Let the Tonberry counter-attack and kill the Attacker (this works best with Tidus because he's fast, and he's more than likely killed more people than most of your other members).

Step 8: Revive the Attacker. (This is where Auto-Phoenix comes in so much handy...)

Step 9: Repeat steps 6 through 8 until the Tonberry is as close as it can get. Then, proceed to either kill it or run away.

You won't notice any major gains until AFTER the battle. I mean, your overdrive guage doesn't fill up....but right after the battle, WHAM! 20 Sphere Levels. And that's only if you have Overdrive -> AP. Imagine if you have Triple Overdrive and Triple AP stuck on there too! You can get 99 Sphere Levels right off the bat!

This works better with the Don Tonberry because he has a load more hit points. So saying, your gains are more because he takes longer to kill.

To further this trick, beat Area and Species Creations constantly. Why? They drop status spheres to up your character's stats. Like, my Rikku! 255 points (the maximum) for Strength, Defense, Magic Defense, Speed, etc. Well, my Tidus and Yuna are like that too...so...

And to even FURTHER the trick? Get empty-slot shields, that have four empty slots on them. Proceed to give it: Auto-shield, auto-phoenix, auto-protect, and auto-med/Gillionaire. You'll pretty much never die. And the only attack that REALLY harms you is the Behemoth King's Meteor, and even that only takes 1000 HP, at the most. Hehehe, with 255 Magic Defense + Auto-shield, an Ultima hits for about...400. ^_^

That my friends, if how my Tidus, Yuna, and Rikku look in my FFX game. Neat, isn't it? Didn't take all that long either...

It's not hard, so much as tedious. You don't HAVE to have everyone statted up. In fact, just having one person with half the grid filled up should get you through the whole game, usually. But, I was trying for the "FULL" game...getting everything, and beating everyone.

Oh, and just head back the way you came, Zero_Enna. It's not *that* hard, and it'll gain you some good experience points on the way down. Because, well, you'll have to face the Sanctuary Keeper after Seymour...and he's....well, annoying.
