Yep thats right, they are making fight club into a video game, apparently you can use things in the levels to smash your opponents into.Your body responds to how bad you take a beating, such as broken arms and whatnot and you can customize your own fighter. Its supposed to be out late this fall...I can only hope it was as good as the movie.

...forgot to mention it will have online play so you can fight others with the character you customize.

Kinda sounds familiar to some game that was released on the Mega Drive, where you went into arena fights and could use objects that where throwin in the ring. Can't remember the name of it though.

Hmmm...a bit critcal to the game though.

How would the interface be like? A similar copy of EA's Fight Night?

    *facepalm*

When I first heard about a "Fight Club" game a long whiles back, I thought "Hey, I don't know, it could be kind of cool I guess"...

Though the more I hear about it, and the more I see, it just kind of makes me want to cry.

God and everyone knows this game is going to completely MAUL the whole PURPOSE of the movie and prove all those *******s right that said it was a movie about "Just guys beating the **** out of each other".

If Chuck Palahniuk were dead, he'd be spinning in his grave...

If that was the case wouldnt the movie be against the views as well?I mean the prupose was to make us realize about the useless commercialism and whatnot, but paying seven bucks to see it in theaters and 15 more to buy it on dvd seems like it would be against everyting the movie stood for.I have no idea where Im going with this.....

Given the fact you now sound rather inane and as if you are just looking for another game to take angsty frustration out upon because Grand Theft Auto got too repetitive and Mortal Kombat just isn't the same anymore and seemed to have watched the movie only to either A) See Meatloaf with breasts or B) Are completely and sickeningly obsessed with violence......... I shall reply...

    No.

See, that was easy, wasn't it?

I guess it wasn't just the Rosie O' Donnell-crowd that missed the point... expected more from some people here...

[EDIT]Since you seem to be missing my point, I'll clarify a bit here: There's a difference between purchasing entrance into a theater to bask in the glory of a movie, or give praise to it in the comfort of your own home and share with all it's awesome-directing (<3 David Fincher) and wonderous-acting (<3 Brad Pitt and Edward Norton) with friends and family... and cashing out on the specifics of a bunch of low-lifes beating the **** out of each other FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER.[/EDIT]

The game looks like .. well, like I wouldn't like it. The movie wasn't about guys beating each other up (though it had that). Thanks to the countless reviews and fanboy drivel that focused on that one part of it, I did not see it for quite a while, but was glad when I finally did and discovered that there was more to it.

The game is going to perpetuate peoples' misconceptions about the movie. Unless there is talk of Martha Stewert and brass, and some secret Project Mayhem subgame involved, I don't see how this would be any different than, say, a Romeo Must Die fighting game or whatever.
