Wow,nice poster. It looks very similar to Linblum from FFIX though.

It looks like they are going for a FFIX atmosphere.

EDIT:I looked over the part in that article about the artist for XII,guess that explains the similarities between IX and XII.

Hmm..Nice. It looks like some Hi-tech-Urban-crosses-Medieval city. Looks quite nice..And as DrunkLeprechaun said; Hideo Minaba was art director of FFIX, and the poster looks quite "artish" to me ^^

Considering the art director is the same as FFIX,I can imagine that the characters will look much like the ones in FFIX did.I dont think they will be deformed this time though.

i glad thay're going for a old, original FF this time. a lot of those new ones really mad me mad. of course i could never make a game like FF. so i shouldn't talk, er anyway i like FF9 type game if its like that. or like the originals then i will like it. and hopefully they don't sacrifice all the game plot for graphics. there is such a thing as too much graphics. oh and on more thing the poster looks cool, and hopefully they won't put guns in this game.
i have a thing about guns in an FF game. eccept FFT. spiffy pic.

Hmmz...I hope they will go back to the classic "World Map". I hated FFX for it's all-in-game-no-world-map ****. I like to FLY the Airships myself. Then you can go wherever you want. Especially if you are going to Macalania forest. Then you must go to the Lake FIRST, and then walk to the forest.

The Original final fantasy you had a world map (like the picture when you travel in FFX, only detailed with mountains and much bigger), where all cities where placed all around the world. So take FFVII for example. When you get out of midgard (first city) you find yourself about as big as the city itself but an a grassy plain. You walk around, until you find Kalm (the next City). You get it? And ofcourse there are oceans and mountains, and islands like Besaid, so you need to catch boats from some cities. Eventually you get the Airship and he you move freely over the world, and you can land anywhere, where there isn't mountains or sea or rough terrain. The world-map is one screen so it isn't like you just see yourself in a grassy square and go left, right,up or down. It's the entire world.

They're not graphics, that's just concept art.
I don't think it'll be similar in style to FFIX. That was meant to be the last FF game that's set in a swords and sorcery type world, and a tribute to the early FFs. But I do wish for the return if the world map.

hmmmm, that looks rather nice. Just remind me...how many Final Fantasy did Square intend to do? and which one is suppose to be the online one? I thought the online one was 'supposed' to be the last FF...correct me if I'm wrong.

Actualy, there was only supposed to be one. The first was meant to be Hironobu Sakaguchi's last game before he retired, hence the title. After it's great success, he decided to stay on, and aren't we all glad he did. I don't remember hearing anything about 11 being the last one, not too sure though.
