Eirtaku Final Fantasy

I just got word from Rory, he's asked me to ask everyone what's the story with next Sunday? Is anyone going to see Final Fantasy or what. I don't know if I can come yet, I'll find out in a few hours when I get my work hours.

 

Yeah, I'm gonna go see it as soon as it comes out.

Pity it isn't an adaption of FF7 though. That would be something....

I personally wish it was an anime movie, or better yet, an anime series or mini-series. That way more time could be devoted to plot and character development....

 

Well i guess no one went to see FF with Rory cause he rang me to see if i wanted to go see cats and dogs with him..........**see aria i didn't go see the movie WITHOUT you!!!**......... but i only got an hours sleep last night ........so i no go.............@.@'''' so i couldn't go..............i slept.instead.......... Of course im gonna go see it! Despite the fact it, y'know... sucks ass. But it's the ff movie so i must seeit.
Logan : there already are lots of FF animes, just so ya know. But they're hard to get, and they are pretty bad too.

 

I'll definately see it . I think that it will be something special but I think the futuristic setting wasn't the best idea for it's setting. Does anyone else think this. I think the period either around FFVII or FFVIX would have been the best choice. Anyway, I still want to see it!

I wont get to see it for a while though since the shite cinema in Macroom gets movies 3 weeks after the ones in the city and I only go into the city every month or so -_-

luv the hair on the main girl! -
*hate* the overuse of that newfangled *translucent* type rendering .... on the aliens & the computerz ....
2 much like a we *can* do it - so *letz* do it kinda thing.
Hmmm - I thought the dream sequence thing was *STYLE!*
I thought the non see thru aliens were damn trendy -
I thought the story & the acting weren't up 2 much *at all* -
overall I'd have 2 say -
NICE GRAPHIX - WEAK EVERYTHING ELSE -
Oh waitaminute! - yeah I thought the floaty 0 G scenez were cool! -
& I thought the kiss was nice! awwww.....
I think the main character is cool lookin'! -
but I thought the bad guy was *CRAP!*

Hey, does anyone know if the FF movie was animated for an English-language or Japanese release...? ie: if the character's mouths were animated to synch with Japanese or English....

 

I'm not *sure* -
but the synching for the English vers. is damn good -
it might have been done in English 1st -
but it'z possible that 2 vers. were made -
with the talking scenez being rendered differently twice -
Japanese & English -
possible -
but then I don't really know .......

Yo, I saw it today- excellent stuff, overall, even if it stole some of it's main ideas from the games. I think it woulda made a good game itself , although you'd have to stretch it out to make it last for 4+ discs.

And that General guy was pretty cool as the villain (stereotypical Gestapo in his black coat), although he pales in comparison to the almighty Sephiroth!!!!

well, i saw the first one ...err the premiere but not really. it was ok, but the villain was less evil and more confused.

 

Yeah, but we got some character development on his behalf. Y'know, how his wife and kid were killed by Phantoms, so that's why he's so intent on finishing them off..
