i just have a first and last question that i would like to ask, what is the difference between a cartoon that has been remastered to HDTV, to it being restored to it's original condition when it was first aired, are they both the same thing or are they different?

I got this one for you Mark.

HDTV is a more crisp and sharper addition of media today. Restoring something to it's original format is just that--they are re-releasing the feature the way it was first seen.

HDTV can best be compared to CD's vs. Tapes. Tapes are not the best form of media to listen to once you have been exposed to a CD.

Hope this helps a bit--anyone else care to add--feel free.
