FLCL FLCL (Furi Kuri) Fooly Cooly

Has anyone heard of or seen this anime?

 

It's porbably the biggest case of style and weirdness over substance IMO.

Really does seem to be a love it or hate it anime, very high quality animation but I don't see why everyone likes the sound track so much, the Pillows really aren't much cop. Maybe there's a reason they'd been around for so long prior to FLCL, and were still totally unknowns.

Yeah, from what I read on the internet after it seems to be a very odd anime indeed (and when anime is odd it's very odd).

Probably not the kind of anime you want to get with a dodgy sub methinks.

 

Hmm, I may have only seen the first 3 episodes..but It is enjoyable for the visual/aural aspects. The animation is top notch and The Pillows just plain ROCK. You gota love the wild creative freedom the animators had. Where else would you get to see giant mecha robots popping out of someones head?

Tho 50% of the jokes go well over my head..and I don't see any plot or story structure at all. I think i need to see more before I can make any final judgements.

Thumbs up for now tho.
