Anime From People to Anime

If you could pick a film or tv show to be turned into an anime what would it be, if your asking me which your clearly not because I wrote the question than I'd have to say film wise Highlander, Braindead,EVILDEAD2, Still Crazy and Some how The Life Of Brian.

 

Dark City would work so well as an anime. The ending battle is even anime-ish with them flinging balls of energy at eachother.

 

The Blues Brothers would be an interesting experiment but I have no idea if it would actually work.


As for Highlander, there is an animated series set in the far future... its neat, but not an anime.

 

Well,The Three Stooges would be interesting.Fight Club would be cool,too.

 

I think part of the appeal of Stooges though is that they are real people.

Actually, I really would like to see Dune done right. The movie looked terrific but David Lynch mucked about with the plot a good deal, while the miniseries had really bad costumes and its fair share of terrible CG. Plus, in the miniseries, you kinda lose a lot of the feel of the Dune universe.

A Dune anime done as a long series would work extremely well.

I remember it well. Didn't like it's animation, had little to do with the films. Naked Gun would be an interesting anime.

 

StarWars Would Be Cool Or maybe an anime version of Terminator?

 

There already is a Star Wars manga. Haven't read it though. Blues Brothers would truly rock though. As would Evil Dead 2.
Bad taste would also be cool, and Dawn Of The Dead. Hell, all horror films would.

 

i think a "dark city" anime would be pretty cool, or lord of the rings, but a prequel.. maybe the tale of the silmarillion or something

 

Any Shakespeare play as an anime. The only medium I think the Bard's work hasn't shown in is animation, so why not fill it out? It could be either intensly artsy (stark animation, close to the Elizibethan style) or impressive and complex in the way that only anime can produce.

 

i kno old school is still in theaters, but it would be a funny @$$ comedy anime, enemy at the gates would be a cool anime, fear and loathing in las vegas would be cool, messed up, but cool in a weird way

 

I'd like to see Babylon 5 as an anime, actually.

I think the Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits would be great animes...but the problem with Jackasz is that its funny because its real people going out and injuring themselves for no reason...itd just be boring as an anime...Indiana Jones would be hot...get Harrison Ford to do the voice and all...that would t0t4ly r0x0rz.
