Edward and Alphonse Elric brothers are young, gifted alchemists, individuals with the power to transmute common objects into a variety of different creations. Trouble came when they attempted a forbidden human transmutation to try to resurrect their deceased mother. As a result, Edward lost both an arm and a leg (now replaced by the metal auto mail), and Alphonse lost his whole body, his soul now transmuted into a giant suit of armor.
The siblings are out to find the fabled Philosopher's Stone, which is said to have the power to restore their bodies to normal. The game operates as an enclosed side story to the series' narrative, and between the text-dialogue and the Anime Cutscenes, there's quite a lot of exposition to break up the action. You'll be reading and watching events unfold nearly as much as you'll be participating in them.
Apart from all that, this game is preety much repetitve. If it wasn't for the need to see the next FMA cutscene, you'd preety much sell this game.

    Edward Elric:
A short-tempered character when it comes to being called short, he goes by the title "Fullmetal Alchemist". He can do what no other can, Alchemy without a circle. This becomes a ussual thing for him during gameplay, due to the fact that you need to transmutate weapons every five minutes.

    Alphonse Elric:
As stated before, his soul now inhabits a suit of armor. He goes around following Edwards in order to help him find more about the Philosopher's Stone. He's not really a playable character in the game. All you can preety much do is call on him by pressing R1.

The rest of the characters are direcly from the show, exept for a few new ones. The story doesen't imprees me as much as the Anime did.
One of the most irritating things about this game is the sound. Sound, overall, sounds a little low qualitly. Apart from the voice acting, the rest just blows it.

    Graphics:
The game's graphics are ok, but it could have had a more High-Definition look to it (or the cutscenes at least). Not much to brag for.

    The gameplay:
Apart from the cool weapons you can create with Alchemy, this is just repetitive bad guy bashing. The ussuall Square Enix works.

This game is a dissapointment in gameplay, but at least the Cutscenes try to make up for it.
However much I love FMA, Im sorry to say that I, KaiyonTormentor give Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel a 5 out of 10.
Watch the cutscenes, stick to the anime. Its 1000 times better.

Well what can you say, another bad anime game. Most of the animes games that have been realised are pretty...bad. Wonder if there's any decent anime related video game out there...

As disscussed before, Anime games weren't ever good. I was hoping Square Enix outdid themselves like they do every other. *sigh* I guess FMA is no different from the others.
