    Ahhh...*yesterday*. *YESTERDAY*.

Yesterday was fun. Well, not all of yesterday was fun. But the end result of it all definitely was!

To put it in the most delicate fashion possible: we had a grand ol' time at the Yardhouse in Pasadena last night!

Anyway, starting from the beginning. I was happy that I was gonna get my car back from my mechanic. So, I go to work, do my business and all is good. Until about 3 hours in, that is. Turns out one of my employees doesn't know how to use a boxcutter properly, and sliced open his finger. So, I go to check it, and it's a bleeder. So, we bandage him up, and told him to sit it off to see if the blood clots. Well, apparently, it didn't, for whatever reason.

The funny thing is, I seriously don't think he could have gotten *that* pale, or that out-of-it unless he lost a pint of blood. There's no way a finger would bleed that much unless you slice the whole thing off. I'd say he's a bit weak-willed at that point. Oh well. Low point of the day, really.

I get my car back, and I find out my bill was $260. That in itself made my eyes go big. However, I do realize that my mechanic is charging me less than other people (and definitely Volvo) by half. At least. I find out one of my crankshaft sensors is split and broken. Oh yeah, got the customary tire rotation + oil change while I was there. And man, the car handles a lot better now! I think that the crankshaft sensor was fooling around with my DSA (aka Traction Stability) because my car would be rather off especially at speeds. And throttle responses have definitely increased. I think that the faulty sensor was bottlenecking my ECU and making things work accordingly until the damn sensor finally broke. I'm just happy I didn't have to replace the turbo (yet) because that's a job I leave to the mechanics for 3+ days.

Anyway, that's all good and done. So, I head home and get ready for the party. Put on my nice new shirt, and my AFRO Brother Kung-fu shirt (you'd probably need to see pictures of it and be aware of my older avatar) and...wait. HAHAHAHA. Turns out my friends (as going downtown in a car each is just plain ****ing stupid) are late because one of them ultra-lagged. But whatever. So, we show up an hour late and get the party started at Downtown/Old Town Pasadena at the Yardhouse.

I didn't drive at all (a first, since I usually drive somewhere to get a carpool, oddly), so I thought I'd toss away some inhibitions and get nice and imbibed. So, had myself an adios, ordered the birthday boy a half-yard of Newcastle, a tequila sunrise with Patron Silver, and a few other drinks for friends. Slurped down my friend's Kamikaze while I was waiting, as she didn't want it. Cool. Had my adios rather quickly, and the party just degraded from there. Heh.

    All in all...
    • Kamikaze - no clue, but it tasted like candy supposedly with a good dose of vodka.
    • Adios - the blue version of a Long Island Iced Tea
    • Half of a half-yard of Newcastle - birthday boy couldn't hold the beer...he was pretty toasted already.
    • Tokyo Tea - the green version of an adios
    • Half a Blue Tarantula - imagine a blue curacao mixed with tequila with a salt rim...a power-margarita. Which was freakin' half drunk by my half-drunk friend...jerk! :p
Which is quite a bit to drink, considering it all amounted to lots of pretty strong mixed drinks. And, I was hyper-buzzed (wayyyyy too much sugar in the drinks as well...) but I wasn't even the worst off.

    BEST DAY EVER. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Excuse the rant. I'll see if I could fill in more details later. As soon as I see those pictures, that is! :D

    Kamikaze-

    1oz Vodka
    1oz Triple Sec
    1oz Lime Juice

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into an old-fashioned glass over ice cubes, and serve.
