Movies Funniest Christmas Movie?

The Christmas season is coming, and it's the time when we all like to watch Christmas movies. Which Christmas movies were the funniest to you, and what was your favorite part in that movie?

 

You knew this was coming, you all anticipated it...

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is easily the funniest Christmas movie I've ever seen. My favorite moment is when Clark W. Griswald goes absolutely insane and has a huge tyrade (sp?) in the living room, followed by "Where's the Tylenol!?" I can't repeat it, though I've memorized it. Too obscene, no matter how hilarious.

 

"A Christmas Story" is one of the BEST movies I have ever seen. I remember reading part of the book it was based on when I was younger. It's a cute story about a kid and his wish for a Red Rider BB gun... with some odd, wonderful humor and the constant reminder that "YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT".

My favorite part of the movie was the scene with the kid who got his tongue stuck to the pole at the school. ("Hel' me guyth! I'M THUCK!")

 

Lol my favorite part is when the fake santa sleigh blow up and flys around in the sky and then the grandma starts singing the star spangled banner, starting with "And the rockets red glare..."
And so the rest of the family joins in singing...

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was just great, and so was A Christmas Story. Definitely can't decide between those two.

Not much of a Christmas movie, though the movie took place during the Christmas time, was The Ref with Kevin Spacey and Denis Leary. Like I said, not much of a Christmas movie, but funny never the less.

The two parts mentioned of the two movies (Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story) would be my favorite scenes as well.

 

I guess I always loved the classic Rudolph Christmas movies. You know. The ones that look like they were clay figures made to move -- I forgot what that kind of animation is called. The point is, I love those. ^_^ ABC Family always airs them.

Of course, I don't recall if those count as funny Christmas movies... oh, yeah! They did! The elf who was giving dolls teeth because he wanted to be a dentist! (Although, that's probably just my love of cuteness speaking... ^_^)

 

You guys stole my thunder! A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation are my two fave xmas movies ever. A Christmas story isn't as funny to me as it is nostalgic...but I would have to say the funniest part of the movie for ME is where he says FUDGE in front of his father...then later, has the soap in his mouth and blames it on Flick. The mother goes to the phone, says the word to HIS mother, and all you can hear on the other end is her spazing out on Flick! Truly funny.

For Christmas Vacation, the parts that make ME laugh the most are the ones with Todd and Margo, the neighbors! GOD they're funny! Absolutely the best Vacation movie ever.

I don't know about Funny, but my all time favorite Christmas movie is Home Alone 2 (Lost in New York)
I don't know why, it's not that amazing of a movie and not even that funny, but I've always had a thing for it. I guess it because it takes place in New York... and has such a cute ending.

 

A christmas story was pretty awesome. I loved it when he got his tongue stuck to the pole.

Of the new movies that are out i would have to say elf. Will Ferrell is awesome.

 

i've always liked the nighmare before x-mas, but national lampoons is the funniest. i love eddie when he says don't you go falling in love with it now. (the truckster) ya hear?, 'cause we'll be taking it with us when we leave here next month. ^^.
or "the government replaced the plate in my head with a plastic one,(from metal), every time we used to fire up the microwave, i'd piss my pants and forget who i was for a half hour or so.

 

I LOVE Nightmare before Christmas, but I consider that more of a Halloween Movie...
And is the Christmas Vacation the one where the Grandma dies and they tie her to the car roof? Because I just found that really disturbing... although I think that's the first one.

 

It did happen in the first one ("National Lampoon's Vacation"), not National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. It's confusing sometimes.

Christmas Vacation is my absolute favorite. I've seen it so many times, and I never get tired of it. My favorite part was when the squirrel jumped out of the Christmas tree and scares everybody.

My others favorites are Home Alone and Home Alone 2. :anime:

To me, it's a tie between the classic tale 'Merry Christmas Charlie Brown' and 'A Christmas Story'. Its a tough choice: the always hilarious bald kid named Chralie Brown; or the ending with the duck and the Chinese resturant. :anime:
