Video Games Games you want.... but can't have

Aside from games that are coming out in the near future i'm wondering is there any old games that you would love to get your hands on, but just can't seem to find them. And as another matter of interest was there a game that you were looking forward to getting when it came out but the production company stopped or cancelled the making of the game?

There is one game that i was SOOOOO hoping to get my hands on but then they suddenly cancelled it cause they were looking for oppertunites on the then upcoming Playstation 2. The is of course Dungeon Keeper 3, i was such a massive fan of the first two i was ready to kill to get the third, and then i found out it was put on hold, so i waited and then waited and waited some more. Then when i went to cheack Bullfrog productions had disappeared of the face of the earth , as far as i know they were absorbed by EA. And now there's never going to be a DK3, bet they feel kinda stupit for putting that DK3 trailer in DK2.
Anyone else ever been let down by prodution companies or just been unable to get their hands on a game they really want?

 

It's been a pain in the *** for me to try and find these games:

Ogre Battle: March Of The Black Queen (PSX)
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (PSX)
Bubble Bobble (NES)
Qix (GB)
Breath Of Fire (SNES)

I think that's about it.

Then of course there's countless games I want but just haven't come out yet. ;P Silent Hill 4, Gungrave: OD, Resident Evil 4, DMC3... I wonder if Pokemon Fire Red is out yet...

Now I also wonder if they ever released a version of Tales Of Phantasia in America. Either SNES, PSX, or GBA... either one, I'll settle for... preferably PSX or GBA. Though I'm sure I could import them or some such. ;P

Which reminds me... Tales of Destiny, too. It's such a ***** trying to find that. And I can't seem to find Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night anywhere, besides on-line.

Phantasy Star 4 (Sega Genesis)


As a helpful hint to Edmontonians, there's a store right around NAIT called Nexwave. It has a HUGE selection of games, ranging from Atari to PS2, and I bet you could all find the games you want there. Of course, it is in Edmonton, and it's the only branch I know of, so...

Ahh, Tales of Destiny. I got that game some time ago, and it's been a lot of fun. I suppose if you can't get to Nexwave, then E-bay or some such is your best bet. I don't know what city you live in, so I can't help you with local stores. [/EDIT]

And of course, Dungeon Keeper III. It's sad that a beautiful company such as Bullfrog had to die...

 

wait a second in future cop r u in a robot type thing. cause i think i have a demo of it somewhere.

 

Privateer 3 (or some new privateer game set in the main WC universe, unlike Privateer 2). Privateer Onloine and Wing COmmander Online both got cancelled. Once again, I blame it on EA buying Origin and generally sucking.

I want it so bad I made it myself.. within a week or so the first beta should be out for the Privateer mod for Vegastrike (after three years off on again off again tinkering). It is a pretty faithful re-creation of the original, though with true 3d graphics, more ships, and a dynamic universe. I'll spam some about it when it's out

 

...I have to add this for a notice.

The everwanting, everlonging, "will-it-ever-be-realised" game called Duke Nukem Forever. Sure, there were high hopes for the game, but man...How long has it gone now? 5 or 6years?

 

7 i believe. I saw an article in a magazine earlier to day and they were saying that the game actually started off as a side scrolling game back in 1997. Since then it's been abandoned once, it's rights bought by another company and a whole load of other stuff that i can't remember off the top of my head, seems like it won't be coming out for another while anyway. It also seems like a big waste of time and money if it's going to take this long.

They have a want list, a have list, and, well, it's best to check it out yourself because I'm too tired to explain the whole thing right now. (It's 10:37 pm after an 8-hour shift on the busiest day of the month) But it may be able to help all of you find the games you want.
