Gatchaman Collection 3

This set will be available on October 18. BOTP is still my favorite, since i grew up watching it, but the original is great too. Dont get me wrong i like all of the series. I do have all of the series, even all of the Eagle Riders, very hard to find. Dirk I may be able to help you out with the G-Force, please dont bug me about it... My G-Force is not picture perfect, but its very much worth having. With ADV having the rights to Gatchaman, we might see 2 and Fighter be released too.

II and Fighter would be interesting to see on DVD. I seem to like the animation more on those two. It seems more detailed and more clear, if that makes any sense, even though I've only seen them on tapes that have been copied. Although, I absolutely HATE the mecha! They were changed from the original in order to create more attractive toys. However, it was great to see the original Phoenix make a guest appearance in a Gatachaman II epsisode. I have that on tape.

Any word on the extras for the 3rd Volume, 72?

 

My guess on extras will be Jun... Back to G2 and GFighter..I remember seeing that episode where the original God Phoenix made an appearence. The one thing I really dislike about GFighter is that I believe every episode ends the same way. Ken is on the tip of the Phoenix and whips his sword out and destroys the enemy. Who knows, we may see the day where ADV does the next 2.

im in the process of having them converted on dvd. the episode you r talking about, if i'm correct, is that the plants will go after females not males. been so long, so i cant really be positive about it.
i can post updates on the dvds pnce they r completed.

yeah thats the episode with the female eating flowers, and one of them eats Jun/aggie/Princess,

i love at the end of part 1, when they drop a bird missile onto the flowers, and as they all burn up, that look on Ken/Aces face just gets to me, i sometimes forget its just an anime, heh.

That stinks. It is so cheap for them to make DVDs, it shoud be even lower in price. I hope the extras include Jun, that would be cool.
