Fruits Basket Generalization: Why do you hate Yuki?

What do you guys think of Yuki?

 

The first reason for disliking Yuki is that he is the rival of my neko-love. The second reason is that he is so dramatic! Fighting with Kyo for taking the radish from his garden The third reason is that he is so sensitive and fragile, like in the episode where Haru first appear. >.>

 

I don't actually hate Yuki, but I agree with Izzy-chan--he's very passive--I don't like people like that. I mean, if you would leave me with a person who's silent and passive as Yuki... I'd die of boredom...

 

I don't hate Yuki, not at all. The anime doesn't go into his past as much as I think it should. He was locked in a room and beaten by Akito when he was young, and can hardly even look at him in the manga. I don't think he's too passive, he's just used to keeping his defences up constantly. It's only when he met Touru that he stoped doing that. He's not a bad guy, I see where he's coming from.

 

hm...i think the only reason i wouldn't like yuki..would be because I think his character is weak, but it still has its charms. I dont think anyone could hate yuki..(other than kyo and haru fans..>>;; )so *shrugs* he's a likeable character ^_^

 

I don't hate Yuki.
But i am annoyed with him calling my Kyo a baka-neko.

I'm sorry you feel that way about Yuki. *snatches picture away* I love Yuki! But i also love Kyo! I can't help but like both. They both have weaknesses and strengths and reasons for disliking each other. But Tohru's maybe bringing them closer. I dunno really but I can't say too much since i have only watched a few epis. but i understand Yuki. He wants someone who won't be sickend by him, someone who loves him for who he is. I think the girls at the school like him because he is quiet and closed and cuz he's a stud. They don't take to really know him although who really would go near those three girls? they're kinda mean. hhhhmmm. But i love yuki and kyo both! Yuki is just a loveable guy. kyo is also. he's just gotta watch his mouth when hes mad. but thats what i love about him!

 

I don't hate Yuki either! ^_^ He's cute and I think is a good match for Tohru, and Kyou too.

 

I really wonder who's gonna end up with Tohru. It seems like she's the back bone of those two boys now. They seem to care very much for her. By the way, I got two posters from www.houseofanime.com and of course both of them are fruits basket! I got one of Yuki and one with yuki, kyou, shigure and Tohru. and the best part is that they were only 3.50 each. can yea get posters for cheaper? i haven't found any yet.

 

I've only seen the first DVD, but I think Yuki's a great character, but I'd rather see a Tohru/Kyou matchup, I'm not particularly fond of the treatment Kyou gets from Yuji (Does that rat think he's better then cat-san?) The whole thing with the legend of the cat and that I relate a bit to Kyou makes him more of my favorite character.

Kyou-san, a fan understands you!!!! *Takes broom and swats at Yuki in his rat form...*

 

I don't like him that much... maybe not man enough?

 

ahaha that's why you call him a bishi! Yuki is manly...i think. He's very strong although you don't get that notion when you look at him. he's a shy maybe rather realistic about himself. he wants to escape the sohma house but kyo wants to join. i don't think kyo really knows what it's like to be strange. or maybe he does but not in the way Yuki does. I have some thoughtful idea in that paragraph somewhere. whatever though. Yuki is just the way he is and kyo is the way he is. Yuki dislikes kyo because he sees how kyo coops with his curse and his strong desire to be one of the sohma household while Yuki is trying to get away. but i think tohru is making both of them think. i really wonder who will end up with who. oh man they both seem to go fine with Tohru
